Guest guest Posted July 13, 2011 Report Share Posted July 13, 2011 hi everyone,I am new to the group and only found out about it yesturday and my health visitor suggested this might help me get some answers and understand more about thyroid as i find it really confusing!! i had my son 5 months ago and since then had been losing weight so had my thyroid checked as the weight loss was unexplained. the blood test showed overactive. this was a month ago, since then i have had 2 more tests which show i am underactive?? i am very confused as the only symptom i or the doctor feel i have is weight loss and that is as the doctor said 'clinically overactive'. i then had a discuccion with the nurse about it and she briefly mentioned that i may have grave's disease, i have done abit of research into this and it has left me feeling scared now. i feel like i have more symptoms such as not sleeping and feeling too warm in bed, although i am in two minds thinking it is because i am worried about this and that could be why i am not sleeping!if anybody has any useful information or advise on where i should go from here please reply.Thank you,Amber.
