The human body has many systems. Each one of these systems

handles a unique function and is important in its own way. An

example of such a system is the immune system.

The immune system is a network of cells that are wholly

responsible for maintaining your body's immunity and overall

health. These cells are similar to an army in the sense that they

attack and resist germs and other parasites and protect your body

from diseases.

It is important to be aware of the role that your immune system

plays in combating diseases. If you often feel tired and/or have

frequent colds and flu it may be an indication that your immune

system is not functioning well.

Symptoms of any disease or infection should be tended to

immediately, with medication if necessary, before symptoms

worsen. Better still, is to prevent disease by strengthening your

immune system. Try following these few simple guidelines.

* Understand that there is a close, unseen relationship between

your mental makeup and physical condition. This highlights the

need for you to keep your emotions, stress, etc. under control so

that they do not adversely influence your immune system. This

might be surprising, yet it has been scientifically proven that

if you are under high stress or emotional distress, this may

cause your immune system to weaken.

* Your dietary practices have the capacity to make or mar the

health of your immune system. Healthy diet coupled with regular

exercise and a positive outlook towards life can make a world of

difference to keep your immune system functioning at peak

performance.

* It is important to regularly consume protein, iron, Vitamin C,

Vitamin A, carotenoids, bioflavonoids, zinc, Vitamin E, selenium,

omega-3 fatty acids, etc. These nutrients help in strengthening

your immune system and prevent growth of germs and parasites like

viruses and bacteria.

* Avoid caffeine, alcohol, drugs, high-fat foods, excessive

sugar-all these are harmful to your immune system as they deplete

your energy and thereby the efficiency of your immune system.

* There are supplements especially formulated for improving your

immune system. These immunity boosters will help to keep your

immune system functioning well without taking complex

combinations of vitamins and minerals that your have to combine

in the proper amounts for peak efficency.

One such supplement, that we have heard performs really well for

immune system support is Immunitril which is available from

The Bodestore, http://www.bodestore.com . Immunitril helps

your immune system by providing a rich blend of vitamins and

minerals to support your immune system's health.

* One of the simplest yet effective ways of improving your

immune system's performance is to drink plenty of water as it

washes out toxins and other hazardous wastes from your body and

regulates flow of blood.

If you follow these guidelines, your will strengthen the immune

system and your overall health will greatly improve.

Your immune system is your first line of defense against sickness

and disease.
