Guest guest
Sorry for the TMI I have had 17 days straight of diarrhea/very loose stools. It came on quickly, with no known cause. I have never had any problem with my bowels, always very healthy there. I checked for parasites, have been doing a parasite cleanse for 8 days. I never noticed ANY diarrhea with gluten, ever, so I do not think it is hidden gluten. Nothing makes a difference. I cannot understand it. If I go a long time without water, things thicken a little, but not to the point of a healthy stool. I even stopped Iodoral for almost a week(nothing was staying in me anyway. Could this be iodine related? I am scheduled for a colonoscopy Monday, but really dread it. Does anyone have an alternative? I'm coming up on 50, but still don't want the darn procedure. Any ideas what else to do about this? Thanks Marcy
Guest guest
Polyps cause cancer. How would you know you had them and then have them removed? It is the safest and most accurate test for colon cancer. It is an easy test. People who never had one are just plain scared because it has to do with that part of the body. Trust me it is easier than an angio gram where they feed that wire from your groin into your heart. You should at least have one colonoscopy done in your life. At least one. Please be smart about this. From: Linn <mwm1glm@...>iodine Sent: Thu, June 2, 2011 6:05:38 PMSubject: Re: colonoscopy? Bentonite clay would help. I'd also give Natren probiotics a try, Life Start 2, Megadophilus, and Bifido, all three daily. Slippery elm can also be used for diarrhea. I'm not a fan of colonoscopies. They are not the "safe" test that mainstream medical makes them out to be. It is an invasive procedure and comes with real risks. Very interesting reading from Konstantin Monastyrsky titled Colonoscopy: Is it Worth the Risk? What really irritates me is that the masses are told all we need to do is have a colonoscopy routinely after 50 as if that in itself would do anything to prevent that type of cancer or "catch it early", there's never any info given out about proper diet or changing one's diet to become healthy, supplements needed, etc. after folks have the testing. It's just another one of the cash cows. Linn > > > Sorry for the TMI > > I have had 17 days straight of diarrhea/very loose stools. It came on quickly, with no known cause. Guest guest
I would get a CDSA....comprehensive digestive stool analysis. Here's a link http://www.jeena.org/BioMed/comprehensive%20digestive%20stool%20analysis.pdfYou need to read about what it tests and can give you for info. Also, search "comprehensive digestive stool analysis" and see what other links you can come up with.I had all the allopathic tests and this simple test gave the answers and the cures.Mine was an aggressive yeast from farmer's market homemade cheese.Joan I have had 17 days straight of diarrhea/very loose stools. Guest guest
Routine colonoscopy is what I'm referring to. I feel it's more prudent to prevent the polyps in the first place. There are stool tests for colon cancer markers that are safe and one can take them as often as they like. If those show positive results, then address it with a colonoscopy. I don't do any medical procedures without educating myself first. The fear is used by the medical profession to rake in money from this and other types of routine testing. I'll stick with iodine, other supplements and regime for my prevention. This is OT but here's a little info: From Konstantin Monastyrsky: The 18 years long Minnesota Colon Cancer Control Study included 46 plus thousand patients between the ages of 50 and 80. It demonstrated only a 0.6% reduction in the incidence of colorectal cancer. Statistically speaking, this difference is even less than the chance outcome of one thousand coin flips. The Telemark Polyp Study I demonstrated a 157% increase in mortality among screened patients vis-à-vis unscreened controls. The decrease in the incidence of colorectal cancers was only… 2%, which, statistically speaking again, is essentially none at all. - First, an estimated 95% of all polyps are benign, they will never become cancers, so removing them makes just as much sense as zapping the moles off your buttocks to prevent melanoma… - Second, not all colorectal cancers are preceded by detectable polyps. It is believed an even larger share of colon cancers start from flat lesions that no one is suggesting to remove, even though they are considered five time as cancerous as large polyps.... - Third, removing polyps or even doing biopsies releases cancer cells into the blood stream and the colon's lumen. In turn, these cells may seed all other cancers throughout the body. This phenomenon, of course, is well known to cancer specialists. How do you think researchers infect experimental animals with cancers – they simply collect cancer cells from a donor and inject them into any desired site. In essence, taking out a precancerous polyps may be riskier than leaving it alone. - Fourth, it is a well established fact that new polyps spring like weeds following polypectomy, and probably for the same reason I just mentioned – the release of cancer cells into the body. Unfortunately, as the number of polyps goes up, so do the odds of one of them eventually turning into a cancerous tumor. - Fifth, even the most thorough endoscopists may miss up to 30% of detectable polyps, and the less rigorous routinely miss up to 60%, including actual cancer tumors. All of them, regardless of skill or attention, miss 100% of all polyps in the right colon. Come to think of it, missing polyps may not be such a bad thing, considering just how risky their removal may be. - Sixth, the average age for colorectal cancer diagnosis is 72 years [close to the average lifespan for American men, and just a few years short of the average lifespan for American women – KM.] So commencing invasive screening and polypectomies in asymptomatic people at age 50 is just as absurd as taking contraceptives after menopause; - Finally, seventh, if you have poor blood coagulation, or take regular aspirin as most people past 50 do, or are on a blood thinner such as warfarin [generic name for brands known as Coumadin, Jantoven, Marevan, and Waran – ed.], polypectomy profoundly increases your risk of death from hard to detect internal bleeding which may lead to ischemic stroke, myocardial ischemia, cardiac arrest, or sudden cardiac death. So, do the simple math to realize just how pointless and dangerous this whole charade is: almost all polyps are benign; removing them is riskier than leaving them alone; more than half of all polyps are undetectable; most cancers don't start from polyps but lesions; you are likely to die from old age before colon cancer strikes you; and your risk of dying from a colonoscopy-related complications may exceed your risk of ever getting colon cancer in the first place. Or, how about this undeniable fact for proof: If screening colonoscopies and resulting polypectomies were, indeed, effective, with about half of Americans past age fifty getting screened, we should have enjoyed at least a 50% reduction in the incidence and mortality of colon cancer. But, instead, we have a 22% increase in incidence, while the number of deaths remains practically the same. If that is not a proof, what, then, is? > > > > > > Sorry for the TMI > > > > I have had 17 days straight of diarrhea/very loose stools. It came on quickly, > >with no known cause. Guest guest
Linn, The video you link to is a good summary of what I have believed, for years, to be true. I also remember reading there were sometimes incidences of serious infection (such as hepatitis) with a colonascopy because it was very difficult to sterilize the many-cabled instruments used in the process. I lost both my brother and sister to colon cancer and at one point I was so frightened at being next in line (as the youngest) that I did go for a colonascopy. I used other means than the prescribed laxative solution -- believing those harsh chemicals possibly capable of more damage than the colonascopy. As it turned out, I was not sufficiently cleaned out for the doctor to be "sure" of what she saw (which was nothing problematic) and I was told to return for another colonascopy in a six months. I never did go back. I had started that colonascopy without drugs (apparently some people are able to manage this), but the pain was too great and I soon had to accept them. So, I would add shock and trauma to the body as other other negatives. (You don't have to be conscious for your body to respond to these things.) After that experience I adopted the kind of diet that I would have adopted if I had been told I had cancer. It's been about 8 years and I'm 72 now. Currently, I have things I need to work on (like being hypothyroid), but I really never worry about cancer. On 6/2/2011 4:05 PM, Linn wrote: Bentonite clay would help. Guest guest
There is a nasty virus going around in the Northeast -- I had similar symptoms for 10 days. It went away then I had it again for 7 days. BarbF In a message dated 6/2/2011 3:48:07 P.M. Guest guest
I'm wondering if they tested her stool for the Nora virus I think it is called. During one of my meetings 3 weeks ago we've had a higher amounts of cases and there are several strains of it. She can also reinfect herself if the virus is still in her house or other family members have been infected but she doesn't state this. Once that virus is in your house most likely all family members will get it.Just a thought. People need to be vigilant with hand washing and when you do wash your hands use soap and wash them for 30 seconds or longer. The only way to get it off your hands is using regular soap and warm water. This virus is very sticky and soap does the trick. Guest guest
Just wanted to let you know that Activated Charcoal works really fast for diarrhea. Within 2 doses, it should stop if it is going to. The typical dose is 2 capsules. Take the doses an hour apart. It has saved us so much over the years. For children we break open a capsule and put in applesauce, babies half a capsule. Good luck > > > ________________________________ > From: marcyzram <marcyzram@...> > >iodine > >Sent: Thu, June 2, 2011 2:47:48 PM > >Subject: colonoscopy? > > > > > > > > > >Sorry for the TMI > > > >I have had 17 days straight of diarrhea/very loose stools.
