Guest guest
Hello there, I'm a 26 year old girl and I've been having a lot of problems with my eyes and hypo thyroid like symptoms. I had a blood test at the doctors and the results were TSH 2.55 (range 0.5-5) and free serum T4 is 9.9 range (12-22 I think). Looking at this forum I think the T4 is very low? I mentioned this to the doctor but she said I was on normal range so I was fine and there was nothing abnormal. Is this the case really? I asked for an antibodies but she said the results of the other test would be off if I had any antibody problems, so I got no test for this. Because I have dry eyes I'm being tested for other auto immune problems though. I am wondering if there's a natural way to perk up the thyroid up a bit? I've started taking kelp and am getting a strong multivit with all the b vitamins, selenium etc -everything from sheila's deficiency list so hopefully maybe that would help? I notice that when most people have a free T4 as low as me their TSH goes right up, mine's still quite low though. My main symptoms are eye dryness (the oil glands in my eyelids are producing the wrong kind if oil), brain fog, confusion and lots of aches and pains. If anyone could please lend me any advice, including whether eye problems are possibly related, in your experience, that would be fantastic. Thanks so much in advance for any help you're able to give. Sorry for any typos, I wrote this on my phone and I can't scroll back up to proof read! All the best, Jess
