Yes, definitely, and especially for a man. I hope Sheila will confirm this, but

I remember reading that a level of somewhere in the region of 150/175 would be

better.

Previously I have read on this group that a good thing to take would be some

elemental iron, such as Ferrous Sulphate 200mgs daily. Take with orange juice

and around 4/5000mgs vitamin C. This stops the constipation and helps the iron

get into the system.

Yeah its the same person who wanted to try cortef was previously on isocort

didnt do much. I havenet tried thyroid meds as all my blood thyroid levels are

top of range. My estrodial was checked by a zrt blood spot was high.

When i first went on isocort did intially feel better bu after that remained the

same.

My ferritin level of 59 (30-300) looks low what you reckon?

I believe ive not got enough corisol to trag my thyroid into my cells. That or

my iron is causing problems or maybe rt3 issues? Will need to test this

My temps are around 35.7-36.1 basal.

your blood thyroid might be ok, butyour urinary thyroid is low in my opinion.

In his book, Dr hertoghe said " watch out for low levels of T3 (under 1500

pmol/24h) and/or t4 (under 1800 pmol/24h) " "

Your results:

Urine free thyroid

T4 727 (347-1994) vs Hertoghe: >1800

T3 841 (592-1850) vs Hertoghe: >1500

But not sure of the reference ranges at the lab Dr TH uses but if the units are

the same then your results dont' look good.

What Testosterone medication are you on? Gels i think send E2 too high. i may

try nebido.

Yes, ferritin too low. I was told by one endo - 150. How's your copper, that

can affect iron uptake i beleive ?

Zinc? Low zinc can cause higher estradiol i gather

(watch out copper/zinc ratio)

Can you get a urinary 24 hr free cortisol test? think medichecks.com do them.

i would get one of those personally asap

Could be though your thyroid levels over the course of a day aren't much aren't

very high are they. but perhaps this is because of a cortisol thing - i don't

know.

year obiviously its in the nhs ranges didnt think twice unil i was reassing my

tests.

How much of a difference can raising this make? My isocort didnt work do you

think this could be the missing link?

ferritin?

i don't know, but i'd not think it'd be the missing link personally. it could

be, but, how do you know until you try other things?

if you've been doing something for a year, is it likely that doing it for

another year will make a difference? or do you mean you've been battling these

symptoms for a year? (it's not clear)

i came across something interesting - acetylcholine deficiency: if you google

that could it cause any of your symptoms.
