Guest guest
just heard from a co worker that his father in law aged 80, is near death due to the lining of his bowel being dead and festering. The doctors have apparently told his wife that they think Lipitor could be the cause. this is a totally new side effect to me. Guest guest
Hi Glynis, ons sell whole buckwheat for less than a pound for 500gms then grind it. I take it you know to add other finer GF flours to it, otherwise you end up with a housebrick! With regard to fibre, Psyllium seeds are naturally probiotic. The whole husks are better than the capsules, you make them up into a drink or add them to a protein shake. Regards, Tina. > > I've been gluten-free for about 3 weeks now and after having withdrawal symptoms I am starting to feel much better, lost no weight as yet but gained none either (hope for me yet!!) I haven't got the nutrition sorted yet though, luckily I tend to eat plenty of fresh fruit, cheese, meat, fish and vegetables anyway so I think I'll be OK till I've sussed it. > My main problem is that gluten free means added maize / corn flour which
Guest guest
Hi . From what you describe your eating far to many starchy carbs and sugars. (Ricecakes and mangos. Baked beans aren't the best either) Increase proteins and green veg, cut to a minimum starchy veg (pots rice etc) Choose lower sugar fruits.(apples , grapefruit, cherries strawberries) Regards, Tina > > Hi Glynis, > > Fibre, brown rice is ok for me..... (tastes terrible though), I just make sure I eat fruit with peel on. Also Mangos have good amount of fibre I believe. I make a smoothie with mango and orange juice.. >
Guest guest
Thanks Tina, been looking for buckwheat, H & B don't do it nor Tesco or Asda. I'm going to experiment a bit with the bread flour and see how it turns out, also make up my own plain flour so that I can have pies (haven't had any in years!!) The nurse at my endo's clinic suggested I get a referral to a dietician from my GP and as soon as I have time to draw breath I'll make an appointment to see her. I got some xantham gum, GF baking powder and bicarb so I'm ready to rock!! Just got to find those extra hours in the day.....
