Guest guest
Hi C: I see, OK.... he did not mention wanting to give you B12 shots to help bring up your levels? I don't think 7 mgs of iron for a woman is enough. 18 mgs a day would be closer.....but that is just to maintain iron, if you're low, then you'd be taking more than that to bring levels up. How much B12 are you currently taking? Are you taking 400 mgs of magnesium a day, 200 mcgs of selenium, 3000/4000 mgs of Vitamin C? What about folate, 400 mcgs a day? Are you taking NAX? I just learned that NAX does not include two of the important B vitamins, Biotin and Folate, so you may want to get a good B complex and start taking that if you aren't already:. http://www.iherb.com/Jarrow-Formulas-B-Right-100-Capsules/110?at=0 What about IODINE, are you supplementing with IODINE? Cheers, JOT Thanks for that.I have a bit more energy but still have the joint/muscle pain.I have hair loss, painful wrists, weight gain, fibromyalgia, weak core muscles, fluid retention-amongst others. I requested a test in 1995, it returned a TSH of 3.3 as `normal`!!
Guest guest
Hi I am hoping to get some tests done.........trouble is, if the way our doctors interpret these tests in the same way they interpret our thyroid ones, then we have no chance do we? We can't believe anything and probably because we are kept low with vits and minerals we are therefore in more need of Big Pharma's toxic drugs eh? Margaret > > Hi everyone > Received two more test results:- > Magnesium 0.91 (0.70-1.00) and > Zinc 13.9 (11.0-24.00) deemed `normal` What do folks think? Guest guest
Hi, first of all thanks for the hard work you are doing on this site. Secondly is it possible for someone to help with these results? I was suffering from Graves Disease, however was tired and putting on weight obviously didnt read the text books. Couldnt sit still so that side was right but eat very little.Put on 2 stone. Doctor thought he was very funny suggesting I should cut down on food and excercise. This is after going back and forth about a very itchy rash dry skin on the knees etc. Anyway came back re thyroid problems lol Saw the wonderful consultant at the Royal Free mentioned in the Mail article. He had a habit of talking to his students rather than the Patient (me) said shouldnt have put on weight lol yes wanted to look like a whale. So I said that in fact I knew of 4 other women that had an over active thyroid and they had the same symptoms he didnt like that. I had the iodine 131 radiotherapy Put on thyroxine 100 first then gradually up to 150. When still complained of not feeling right, tired foggy mind etc. He was unhelpful Finally couldnt bother going back as he was no help. So its been put up and down like a yo yo I have anemia, the eating problems were because I have ulcerative collitis which has now caused gall stones etc. Had another full blood count. I think this latest round of problems is all due to not converting properly. Can you tell me what these mean and what I should push for at the moment gone up to 125 mg thyroxine which has helped a little can manage to think clearly for at least 5mins every hour lol .. Thanks They are as follows Total white count 5.15 Red blood cell count4.09 transferrin saturation index 8.2 serum free T4 level c 11.9pmol/l serum tsh level 16.7mu/l serum total bilirubin level 4 umol/l serum potassium 4.3 serum iron level 5.3serum ferritin c 5ug/l neutrophil count 2.04 I have other results if needed but hopefully these can help you help me. Guest guest
hi I don't think anyone has got back to you yet, have they. I suppose the question is - do you have symptoms of low zinc? Everything else looks ok to me. was that vitamin D3 you had tested? do you have a copper test done too? zinc and copper can affect each others levels. chris > > Hello everybody > Could someone please give guidance/interpretation on the blood test results below?
