You can always ask the merchant. If it is in crystal form, it's in its purest form. SSKI stands for " Super Saturated Potassium Iodide " -- which means that it's a liquid, in water. KI is the chemical abbreviation for potassium iodide. Also, baxrox stated earlier in this thread that from the JCrow's website Lugol's 5% is 6.25 mg Iodine and 12.5 mg iodide per drop. So wouldn't that mean a total of 18.75 mg I/KI per drop and that the 2% solution is approx. 1/2 of that or about 9.375 mg per drop? Guest guest Posted July 13, 2011 Report Share Posted July 13, 2011 Hi Debbie, sounds like Dr P felt that your adrenals were hammered, hence the three months getting them 'ready' to go onto the Armour. It's slowly slowly with getting the body used to all this. I know it's very tempting to adjust or increase doses but your body will need to be treated very gently to allow it to get used to things. You adrenals govern your blood pressure, so I'd say that if your blood pressure is dropping like a stone then it's because your adrenals are still stretched. Thinking of it a bit like climbing a mountain is helpful. You have to go up a bit and then make a base camp to acclimatise for a while. Once you feel really good and stable, you can start climbing again to the next camp (and then acclimatise there too). Slow and sure..... that way, when you hit the right Armour dose for you, you'll know it. And it's different for everyone. It's really important to get your adrenals healed....you need them working with your medication. Google up foods for you adrenals...the right diet really helped me when my adrenals had had it. Download the temperature chart from Dr.Rind and fill it in every day using a good thermometer. You can track your progress and really see what your adrenals are doing. Have you done the 24 hour salivary adrenal test to find out exactly where your cortisol and DHEA levels lie through Genova Diagnostics. Have you had your ferritin, vitamin b12, vitamin D3, magnesium, folate, copper and zinc levels tested? Is there any possibility you could be suffering with systemic candidiasis? Do you have any amalgam fillings causing mercury poisoning? All or any of these could be stopping the thyroid hormone from being fully utilised at the cellular level and if this is the case, the thyroid hormone could be swimming around in your blood with literally nowhere to go causing symptoms of toxicity. In such a case, you are best to stop thyroid hormone completely and increase the dose of Nutri Adrenal Extra by one tablet every 10 to 14 days, taking a dose at breakfast and a dose at lunch. You can increase every 10 to 14 days up to 6 tablets daily, but if still no better, this may be an indication you need a short course of HC. have you considered that Armour may not be the most suitable NDT for you and you might be better taking the Erfa Thyroid, which you can take sublingually? Luv - Sheila I was still dizzy and not feeling good yesterday and so have not taken any Armour this morning but I took 1Nax and 2 NA I felt quite ok this morning until I had been stood awhile. I had an even worse dizzy spell I really thought I was going to pass out. I was really frightened. My blood pressure does drop when I stand and is low to start with. I agree, thyroxine is no good. NDT is fabulous, I'm loving the difference it is making to me already and I feel the best is yet to come.
