Guest guest
I have been doing IVF for years now, and I usually develop a functional ovarian cyst during the suppression phase that messes up the cycle. Functional cysts are hormone producing, and are rarely produced. Since I find that the research done on functional cysts during IVF cannot point to a reason for this development, I was curious as to if this can be an indicator of a pathology that could be overcome. On a different forum I was directed towards Iodine. After reading what I could, I only found articles about other types of cysts or pcos. I don't have either problem, in fact I am " unexplained " . I ask for a better understanding on what might be Iodine's role in this problem, hoping for a better outcome for IVF in the future. I would be grateful for information regarding the role of Iodine in the development of ovarian cysts. I understand that the ovaries do need Iodine and are in competition with the thyroid and the breasts. But I would like more information. Thank you!
