Kathleen your message did get through see message No. 85444.

What could be happening, with a lot of people is that because we have so many messages coming through each day you do not go far back enough to see your message.

This is also why a lot of messages can get missed when reading as well.

If anyone wants to know about their messages to to messages on the home page and in the search part put your username and click on search and all your messages come up. Just go through them and you will see if they have actually come up and when.

Still catching up with messages Jackie - have you heard anything

further from your MP and can you ask him if he will send you a copy of the

letter he sent plus any response he received.

I have heard absolutely nothing from the DoH apart from an

acknowledgement from my MP to my original letter. Hopefully, this is because it

is being discussed in depth…we can only pray!

Luv - Sheila

I got my response from my MP at the House of

Commons today too, thanking me for coming to his constituency office last

Friday to discuss my concerns in person. (I

spent half an hour with him but as he didn't even write any notes, I didn't

really feel he was taking much interest except to ask if it affected men !!!!!

I think I'll write to him again asking what it was

he actually sent and was it ONLY asking for a public enquiry or for answers to

my specific questions.

The problem we have, of course, is that the Secretary of State

for Health will OLNLY ask questions of the Royal College of Physicians and the

British Thyroid Association (neither of which is a 'public' body so not liable

under the Freedom of Information Act). The DoH accept ONLY what these 'experts'

say, even though they never back up any of their statements by citing

references to any research/studies - and the DoH accepts what they state

without question. This is causing harm to those suffering with symptoms of

hypothyroidism. The DoH should be questioned about this, which I have done in

my letter to my MP, but won't hold my breath. I think this is such a serious

problem that a question should be asked in the House at 'Prime Minister's

Question Time'.

Luv - Sheila

I then spent the whole of the weekend writing a really good detailed e-mail

spelling out what we wanted together with 12 specific questions which I wanted

answers to and suggesting he could copy and paste as much of it to the DoH as

he wanted.

He said he'd written to the DoH on my behalf asking

for a public enquiry but I wonder if he also sent my (about 12) specific

questions which I wanted answering. One of which was about Germany

recently reducing their TSH to 2 due to iodine deficiency. I said that as

the UK was also iodine deficient then perhaps it was time to reduce ours to 2

also.

I think I'll write to him again asking what it was

he actually sent and was it ONLY asking for a public enquiry or for answers to

my specific questions.

Keep us informed Pamela and ensure that whoever responds doesn't

just pass on the load of old information we are already aware of, which is of

no help to us whatsoever. We want answers to the specific questions and where

necessary, investigation taking place backed up with any scientific

evidence/studies. This, they fail to do on all occasions.

Luv - Sheila

Sent the suggested letter to my MP at end of

July and have today received a response that he has raised matter with

Secretary of State for Health asking him to investigate.
