Is it possible to get a prescription for a dessicated thyroid in Essex? I have been on it for 8 years in Canada and also for a year in Hampshire. Now, living in Essex, I visited 3 doctors (1 of them an endocrinologist) and have been refused a prescription. I was prescribed levothyroxine and this does not go well with me. But, not having any choice I started to take it. My hypothyroidism symptoms started to return even though my T4 and T3 are " in norm " . So, I called my daughter in Canada and had her mail me some dessicated thyroid (she is also on it). I started to feel the difference within a few days...However, getting my pills this way is not practical. I wonder if there is any way to get a prescription for the dessicated thyroid in Essex?
