Guest guest
Mercola is such a mixed bag. I stopped taking his newsletter a few months ago. The acne he's referring to is bromide acne, from detoxing the bromide. It's the classic thing of confusing the symptoms of bromide detox as iodine " poisoning " symptoms, a big lie. -- >Mercola is bashing iodine again saying: > > " Milk generally contains a fair amount of iodine, although there is less >in raw milk than pasteurized milk. Guest guest
Milk from the store also has hormones in it which might contribute to acne. > > Mercola is bashing iodine again saying: > > " Milk generally contains a fair amount of iodine, although there is less in raw milk than pasteurized milk. Guest guest
I was going to ask about this! I have my 13 yo dd up to 3 drops of Lugol's each day and thought I should quit it maybe because her acne is getting worse. Then I thought, is it just from detoxing bromide and I should continue and let the detox proceed? > > Mercola is such a mixed bag. I stopped taking his newsletter a few months > ago. Guest guest
Well... if the bromide is coming out through the skin that indicates the normal, preferable detox pathways aren't working well. Ultimately the iodine will help her acne (the non-detox kind), because the skin needs iodine to function correctly. I would back down a drop and help her work on her detox pathways. Also, is she taking the companion nutrients? Far-infrared saunas are extremely effective for opening detox pathways. -- At 07:54 PM 6/1/2011, you wrote: >I was going to ask about this! Guest guest
Not true. It just wasn't doing your body good. And it can be the milk you are drinking. All milk is not created equal. I've experience many benefits to raw milk from grass fed cows. One time I was very sick after birth. I had horrible water retention. Forget swollen feet it was swelling up past my knees! My BP was stroke level high and even IV meds didn't lower it. I had to stay on my side in bed to keep it down. Well I tried the Milk Cure. Within 48 hrs my water retention was almost entirely gone and my BP was near normal. MarcellaOn Thu, Jun 2, 2011 at 9:57 AM, true-D <michelabelle@...> wrote:  i'm 47 years old and have suffered with acne my entire life. two weeks ago i cut out cow's milk and guess what? my skin started clearing the very next day. in a little over a week you'd never know i had a problem with acne. milk. it does a body no good. Guest guest
I googled milk cure and read about it at the mayo clinic web site. Very interesting.I can't believe how our government is doing nothing but poisoning our foods. Guest guest
There are some symptoms that can be caused by lots of things. (Fatigue is one -- prenancy, leukemia, detox, infection...) Acne seems to be another. When I was in college (shortly after I got a bunch of vaccines!) I developed food allergies that manifested as acne. I went from having gorgeous skin to having suppurating pustules all over my face. Allergy testing & a strict diet cleared me right up.But that is far from the only thing that can cause it.AnneOn Jun 2, 2011, at 3:55 PM, jennifer wrote: I am 47 and have suffered with bouts of acne my whole adult life as well.
