I've seen quite a few comments about headaches from people on the iodine protocol, increasing the dose, or detoxing.

What exactly is it about iodine that would cause a headache?

Thank you

Hi ,

Iodine helps the body detox...bromine,chloride,fluoride as well as other toxins, a headache can be one of the symptoms of detoxing. If the detox pathways are not clear, which is true for many people, these toxins can have back up in the body causing discomfort. doing the Salt Loading Protocol is very helpful to keep things moving along. You can read more about this in the New Member doc. then go to Salt Loading Protocol (#7) on the list. Best, Kathleen

The iodine doesn't cause the headache -- the massive release of toxins

causes the headache.

Yes. If you will please read the New Member doc, it explains this very

thoroughly.

Thank you for the advice. I have read all of the new member documents more than once. I read all of the new new member documents before I sent my first post. I have re read the new member documents before I've asked a question. I do not see an answer in the new member documents regarding iodine and headache. I apologise if I'm wrong, I'm not perfect, but I have read the new member documents.

I understand from Kathleen's response that headache is symptom of detox and not specific to iodine. That is not stated in the new member documents that I can see. Again, I could have missed it, but I did read the new member documents trying to find the answer before I posted the question.
