Guest guest
Hi , Assuming you had RAI because of Graves Disease? and that you now possible have Thyroid Eye Disease. (TED) linked to the Graves.... Your Doctor needs to keep the TSH supressed at all times to avoid problems with the eyes..... Also, taking note of the total T3 is pretty pointless, you need to now your Free T3. Tess, who hasn't posted on here for ages, because she is so ill, got into a dreadful mess courtesy of her endo who went by the Total T3 and not the free. I think there is something in the files about this, but if not, here's a link to some info from the NHS and dundee university... http://www.dundee.ac.uk/medther/tayendoweb/thyroid_eye_disease.htm And DONT, do that trick with taking the meds before a test.... slap on the wrist - you'll never get right.... On your own to optimise the levels? You could take more armour and see how you doc's going to complain that you're getting it early... but what is she going to do? Refuse to give you meds? Hmmmmm.... x > > Hello all, > > Here are my recent labs, exactly one year after I've had RAI. > > TSH 2.34 (0.4-4.5) > FT4 1.14 (0.82-1.77) > TT3 220 (71-180) > > Now the TT3 is high because I boo-boo'd and took my 120mg of Armour *before* > the lab. Completely forgot and popped that pill as part of my normal morning > routine. > > Doc wants to keep me with the Armour level I'm at now, BUT my TSH needs to > come down and my FT4 needs to come up. How do I approach this with her? >
