strong. The immune system protects our bodies from infections

and diseases. It is the system that helps keep us healthy. The

immune system is a complex system responsible for distinguishing

us from everything foreign to us, and for protecting us against

kills invaders. It is our immune system that keeps us from

getting sick and is what helps us improve when we do get sick.

HIV and AIDS are two of many diseases that specifically target

the immune system. Everyone has an immune system and must take

care of it. A well cared for immune system will protect you from

illness and disease.

There are four things that weaken the immune system; fatty food,

food allergens, excessive sugar and excessive alcohol all

contribute to lowering our body's defenses against infection and

disease.

On the other hand, there are several things that can boost and

strengthen the immune system. To strengthen the immune system,

the toxins that are in the body must have a way to get out. To

get the toxins out, both the bowels and the bladder must be

functioning daily and properly. To help ensure this process

drinking plenty of pure, clean water every day. It is also a

good idea to wash away sweat after exercising and to put on clean

clothes because the body can also release toxins through

sweating. If the sweat is not removed from the surface of the

skin, it can be reabsorbed back into the body.

Pharmacies stock many different herbs that also help boost and

strengthen the immune system. Some of these herbs are

astragalus, ganoderma and cordyceps. Astragalus is one of the

most frequently used Chinese herbs and has historically been used

to tonify the lungs; it indirectly protects against external

pathogenic factors.

energy. It is thus essential in rebuilding a patient's

constitution. Ganoderma increases the number of white blood cells

and inhibits the growth of various viruses and bacteria

associated with the flu. Various clinical studies have

demonstrated that it enhances the immune system.

Cordyceps has traditionally been used in chronically debilitated

patients. It is an excellent herb to tonify the kidneys and
