Hi , I looked back in my files and found this article entitled: Are You Being Poisoned? The Danger of Magnesium Stearate and Stearic Acid In Our Health Supplements, it’s located at: http://www.articlesbase.com/wellness-articles/are-you-being-poisoned-the-danger-of-magnesium-stearate-and-stearic-acid-in-our-health-supplement\s-443927.htmlHere is some of what this article is saying:Magnesium Stearate or Stearic Acid is basically a toxin; a combination of hydrogenated oils that gets into your body and starts killing cells almost immediately. The worst part is that there is Stearic Acid in over 90% of the pills currently on the market. In addition to weakening your pills, Magnesium Stearate may be loaded with pesticides that are used on the Cottonseed Oil that has been hydrogenated. In addition, with the chemical structure of the fatty acids in Stearic Acid having been altered through close contact with various metal catalysts at extremely high temperatures, the risk of toxicity increases dramatically, introducing countless toxic compounds into your body as a result. While the companies that produce Vitamins and Supplements may want you to believe that the use of Magnesium Stearate and Stearic Acid in your pills is safe, they are not fooling anyone.Just by what I have read, I have decided not to purchase vitamins and supplements with magnesium stearate in them, I get some of my supplements from http://www.procapslabs.com , they do not use magnesium stearate in any of their supplements, I also get other supplements from different companies that do not use magnesium stearate and other potentially hazardous materials in their capsules, that is why I have decided on http://www.bakersyeastbetaglucan.com for my Beta-1,3D Glucan. Hope you understand where I am coming from, wrote:Magnesium stearate is a magnesium salt of a fatty acid called stearic acid, which is found in nature and is a type of fat that is converted to energy instead of stored as fat. I have researched this at length and there just simply is not a concern about it.Concerns about magnesium stearate are based on a paper that was written about an experiment, but the actual results of the experiment were negative-- that is, although the title of the paper proposes that magnesium stearate is an immune suppressant, the actual experiment found that it is in fact NOT. __________ Information from ESET Smart Security, version of virus signature database 6151 (20110525) __________The message was checked by ESET Smart Security.http://www.eset.com

I researched this many years ago also and could not come up with any referenced

reliable information that wasn't linked to someone trying to sell their own

supplements.

Jaxi: Below is the link to the article I mentioned yesterday, it seems the other link didn’t work, also you are correct, there aren’t any references to back up what they are saying, but I know I have read other articles in the past that talk bad about Magnesium Stearate. I looked back in my files and found this article entitled: Are You Being Poisoned? The Danger of Magnesium Stearate and Stearic Acid In Our Health Supplements, it's located at: (hopefully this link will work, it is a very good article and makes you think about what is in our supplements we are consuming on a daily basis.) http://www.articlesbase.com/wellness-articles/are-you-being-poisoned-the-danger-of-magnesium-stearate-and-stearic-acid-in-our-health-supplements-443927.html That article had zero references to back up what they were saying.http://www.raysahelian.com/magnesiumstearate.html>http://www.raysahelian.com/magnesiumstearate.htmlMight be more useful.Jaxi __________ Information from ESET Smart Security, version of virus signature database 6155 (20110526) __________The message was checked by ESET Smart Security.http://www.eset.com
