A while back the subject of Serenity cream was brought up because there were 2

different ones being manufactured but only one " genuine " one, and I've forgotten

how to tell which is which. My pot says manufactured in USA. If I have the

wrong one please could someone link me to where I can purchase the correct one?

Thanks

Sandie.

I would also be intestested to know whether people who changed over to the

authentic Serenity cream are doing any better? I am still getting hot flushes

after 2 months of using it.

I purchased the green Serenity that the original USA company has released. Despite this being the one that people felt was the authentic one, I had a terrible reaction to it. Within a hour and a half of taking it, I developed the worst anxiety, which continued throughout the 5 days I soldiered on applying it, until I finally stopped. I don't believe this was the cream that was the problem, but me being super sensitive. I suspect my liver couldn't tolerate the synthetic hormone. It literally made me feel like I was going crazy. Interestingly, about 3 days after stopping, I became to feel incredibly calm. This lasted for a week, so I'm guessing as my liver slowly processed the progesterone at lower levels I felt the lovely feeling we get when our hormones are at the top of their game! Sadly, it didn't last and I was very disappointed that I can't tolerate Serenity - even the 'authentic' one. Sent using BlackBerry® from OrangeFrom: "miriam_hinch" <miriam_hinch@...>

Hi Sandie,

Dr Peatfield sold/prescribed a pot of Serenity cream to me about 10 years ago

which was from Wellsprings based in Guernsey www.progesterone.co.uk [NB. the

..co.uk is the distinguishing bit!)

I have ordered directly from them since then and have had no problems - they

have an extremely friendly helpful person who answers the phone and for a while

Dr Peatfield was providing a helpline service for them.

When I looked at the other Serenity website a while ago, www.progesterone.ORG.UK

there seemed to be something a bit flaky about it, because there were absolutely

no contact details or company address anywhere on the site - although have just

looked again and they are now declaring themselves as based in Plymouth.

Hope this helps you to decide which company to go with.

I have the one from Guernsey too, but in my notes I have jotted down one in

Derbyshire which Sheila had suggested and which I was going to order from next

time - does anyone know how the two compare?

Thanks

I used the Guernsey one for a couple of years and it did initially seem to help

my sleep, but it never got rid of the hot flushes. Then there was some

discussion on this group saying that the other company was selling the genuine

article, so I switched over. I'd be interested to hear from anyone who has

tried them both to know what their experience has been.

Thanks, Judith. At least another month to go then before I can judge whether

this new cream does anything.

> Hi Miriam and all, the cream needs to be used for at least 3 months to build

up in the body, as it need to balance the other hormones .   Angel.
