Guest guest
I would think if one googles 'bromides in prescription medicine', I think you would find out much. I know others have done that for fluoride in medicine, unfortunately most of them are full of halides. Let us know what you find out. Kathleen Took Benadryl early this morning - Any set backs to Iodine/ide Detox? The homeopathic route to relieve my detox symptoms wasn't working as well as I thought or liked, so last night after my eyes started to swell and water -- very painful and uncomfortable -- I pillaged my son's bathroom and took his children's Benadryl liquid.Did I just set my healing back; does anyone know if there is bromide in or if bromide, or any of the halides, is used in making Benadryl? I read through the thread about cortisol suppression, so it seems to be safe enough if not taken regularly.Any contraindications with any of the supplements or remedies used for iodine/ide detox reaction? I want to continue the supps, but probably not a good idea to do the saltwater flush with Benadryl, since there is a warning against people with sodium-restricted diets taking it. I'm not on a sodium-restricted diet, but careful about my salts.I also have Zyrtec in the house, but couldn't find it last night. Which of the antihistamines is going to give me the least trouble with side effects?TIA,Sheila
Guest guest
I occasionally need to take Zyrtec. I wouldn't worry too much about whether you set your healing back or not with the benadryl-- the worry is pretty destructive in itself. Just keep moving forward in whatever increments you are able. None of the Zyrtec ingredients are bromides that I can determine, but the chewable and liquid forms have ingredients that should be avoided in one's life, including propylene glycol, methylparaben (and other -parabens), blue and red dyes, etc. The tablet form has one ingredient that is especially problematic, which is polyethylene glycol. I try to avoid taking these things, but haven't been able to entirely stop. I use NAC and Quercitin/Bromelain when I can afford them, and when I take them regularly I have very few sinus/allergy problems, Just my experience. -- At 01:12 PM 4/25/2011, you wrote: >I would think if one googles 'bromides in prescription medicine', I think >you would find out much. Guest guest
I found my Zyrtec and took a 10 mg tablet today. , have you or anyone else on this 'board been hospitalized or seen their doctor for the detox symptoms? What did the doc(s) give you? I feel better, sort of, instead of pimples now on my face, it's become more swollen/waterlogged and my skin feels tight and dry. I'm starting to see small rash bumps on the insides of my knees, seems my body is slowly starting to rash despite the Zyrtec. The rash on at my hairline and forehead is almost gone, but on my neck has increased. My eyes are a bit watery and puffy -- water retention, I think. Anything I could do for that? Will the saltwater flush help with that? Can I do the saltwater flush while using the Zyrtec? My inclination is to not go to the MD since they'll just Rx a anti-histamine to me, or whatever else they do to someone who has symptoms to the same extent that I currently have? , how much Quercetin and Bromelain do you take in mg's, when you take it? I don't have any NAC, but I will buy some. I still want to use homeopathy if possible. > > I occasionally need to take Zyrtec. Guest guest
Thank you for your time, , in answering. I am still taking the companion supplements, plus allergy relief ones like Quercetin, B12, cod liver oil, beta carotene, vit E gamma, and CoQ10 since I am not sure if I am strictly detoxing bromide from my iodine/ide intake or it's a reaction to my intake of ACV simultaneously last week. Benadryl did relieve some of the itching this morning; I'm not sure what Zyrtec is doing for me, if anything; the supplements are giving me some minor relief from my symptoms. My skin is SO dry it's cracking a bit though around my bridge, nostrils and mouth. Is that bromide detox? I just don't know at this point if it is or was an intolerance to the iodine (showing as detox) or ACV (showing as an allergic reaction). Splitting hairs here: can I have an allergy to ACV? I thought allergies were reactions to proteins, so this could be an intolerance, right? I quit the ACV, and the iodine is almost nil, just 75 mcgs in my multivitamin when I take it. I'll hunt for an far infrared place now. Crossing my fingers. Any help is appreciated, Sheila > > You can use homeopathy but you are dealing with actual chemicals that are > being released into your body and those are causing the symptoms.
