Hi bernie,

I have consulted with Dr P a few times in the past. I was in a similar situation in respect of my hormones. Yes there are infact 3 oestrogens and these do get out of balance once in a while...as many on here can probably testify.

I had previously tried the cream but with little success and further ther are so called dangers whereby the cream accumulates under the skin. Dr P suggested I start using the cream again, but I was reluctant.

I had also consulted with Dr Myhill beforehand and had my Adrenal spit test done this showed low DHEA. I decided therefore that I would stick with the DHEA so sort out my sex hormones.

What happens with DHEA is that it gets converted to sex hormones and the body decides which one it will convert it to. Since i doubt anyone (not even Dr P - although I rate him extremely highly) would know better than our own body what it truly needs.

I stuck with it and once the DHEA settled down rather than converting to testosterone (which is what it tends to do), after about 6months the testosterone side effects disappeared and I noticed I had felt better for a little while....this continued to improve with taking the DHEA.

The other thing I did was to support my adrenal glands with a number of vits and minerals. If you want my list email me privately and I will send it. There is much information out there in respect of adrenal fatigue and adrenal support if you would prefer other details. I do also take NAX but this is just one of many other supplements specific to adrenal support and they all appear to be necessary for good health; having far reaching effects o other organs and tissue around the body.

i just bought Serenity Cream , recommended by Dr P. I have also just read Dr Lee's Hormone Balance book on the various hormones (oestrogen, estriol, progesterone) .my symptoms are vaginal dryness, lack of libido but not hot flushes . I had them a few years ago. reading Dr Lee's book seems to suggest that Estriol would suit my symptoms and not estradiol (both are oestrogens). Serenity sells a cream with progesterone/oestrogen ratio 1:20 but I'm not sure if the oestrogen is estriol or estradiol or a mix .Also, i would like to buy or get advice on bio identical hormones in the Uk or Europe (i live in Italy) . I also read that dhea would help. So basically i feel confused and i would appreciate contacts . Would Dr P. be able to help?? I can get estriol vaginal cream in Italy (which is fine, and estradiol patches which are firing up my asthma.my blood tests recently were :s estradiol < 25 pg/ml (menopause =<75)s

testerone<0.1 (ref. 0.06-0.82 ng/ml)s progesterone 0.60 (menopausa < 0,5 ng/ml) (I might have just started using Serenity)thanks berny
