Hello everyone,I have successfully been at 50mg of Iodoral for about 3wks along with the companion supplements and being gluten free. I am very excited about that. My question is... when you go up to 100mg per day should you divide the iodoral in an AM and PM doses? Also, if I have not had any detox symptoms at 50mg should I expect them going up to 100mg? Also, I was curious that when I first started Iodoral, I had a lot of symptoms at 12.5mg and I have read that if you go to the higher dose, you sometimes don't experience symptoms. Would someone please elaborate on that concept. My bromine level was 37 when I started last October.I would like to get to 100mg because breast cancer is very high in our family.Thank you

for your time in advance.Holly ChabonFrom: ladybugsandbees <ladybugsandbees@...>Subject: Re: No side effects/reactions taking after taking iodineiodine Date: Saturday, May 14, 2011, 1:41 PM

You should always support the organ systems of the body. selenium, magnesium, vit c and salt are foundational. She may be damaging her body and not know it until further down the road but then it will be harder to recover from. Better to go for a holistic health approach. Why is she taking iodine?

No side effects/reactions taking after taking iodine

Hi, a friend of mine is taking about 50 mg of iodine (lugol's) daily for the last 3 or 3 1/2 weeks with no side effects/reactions. She does not take any companian nutrients at the moment, because she wants to wait until she gets her first detox symtoms/side effects or any reactions to taking the iodine. Is she harming herself, or is it OK to wait?

You could split the dose if you want, but generally is it recommended to have both doses by 2 pm, as it can keep you awake because it gets your body going! There is no need to split the dose. Sometimes when your body is only getting little and it needs much more, you get worse reactions as it searches for more. As it gets more it doesn’t react as much. Kind of like if you are really thirsty, getting only a few sips of water makes you feel more thirsty, while getting a good drink calms the thirst. Are you taking the companion nutrients? That is really important, especially if you are fighting breast cancer. Donna,Thank you for your reply. I am taking the supporting nutrients along with the TLC supplement. So, do you think I need to go slow up to the 100mg from the 50mg? The only thing that I have had lately is a dull pain in my left side around the kidney? When I back off it goes away, now the area just itches. I did have a kidney stone on the left side (my one and only) when I started the Iodoral at 25mg. I also started more salt at that time and I read from Dr. Brownstein's book that using salt will help cleanse the kidneys. I was the person who never used salt because I was misinformed about it's health benefits. I do want to do a liver cleanse and the kidney cleanse at some point. I bought a bottle of the Bragg's cider vinegar and will use that first before I try the cleanse. Do you have

anymore suggestions? I really appreciate all the information that comes across this site and the expertise of the owners. I have been on this quest for over ten years and I finally feel like I am getting somewhere. I have prayed for an answer and I have been so close but yet so far away.
