Iodoral after stomach bypass surgery

Can anyone comment on how a stomach bypass would affect the absorption of Iodine, and also if that may be the cause for Nausea after

starting the 3 month detox? Seems like the smaller stomach changes all

the rules? Or not? Thanks! Gastric bypass will severely impair your absorption of iodine FROM FOOD. It won't have much effect on absorption of liquid iodine - Lugol's in water will be absorbed pretty quickly and well.If you are having nausea when taking iodine, it may be related to your hydration at the time. Try drinking a full glass of water right before, and/or dilute it more.If your salt is making you nauseous, drink more before and after.Anything can cause "dumping syndrome" when it's too concentrated. Salt, iodine, fat, sugar, etc.BTW, if you've had RnY, you don't have a "smaller stomach", you have a pouch. Our (distal, old) stomach is not in play, and the end result is that we have no stomach, almost no digestion of anything EXCEPT simple carbs, and malabsorption of anything that is not ready-to-absorb.Are you taking whey protein,

vitamins A, Bcomplex, C, D, E, K; emulsified Omega fatty acids and B12 sublinguals or injections? If not, please contact me offlist.Peace. :o) H in Washington State Any sufficiently advanced technology is indistinguishable from magic. Thanks for the reply. So sounds like Lugol's shouldn't have a problem being

absorbed then, how about Iodoral, which I understand is designed to be dissolved

in the intestines anyway?
