Guest guest
Hi Ben, Everyone here is sympathetic with what you are going through and would like to see you regain your health. I know that you're also looking into taking LDN, which I strongly encourage you to do. You should read the New Member document that will acquaint you with the basics of the iodine protocol. You must take the companion nutrients, which the document outlines. Many of your questions are covered in that document. For those with cancer, we recommend getting the daily dose up to 100mg/day (and higher up to 300mg/day) as quickly as possible, but because of the toxic environment we live in, you will probably encounter detoxification symptoms which can be quite uncomfortable. These are temporary and are not harmful in themselves, so for people with time pressure in their illness, like those with cancer, we counsel to just live with that discomfort and get the dosage up high. I am attaching the new member document here for you once again. You also received it when you joined. If you cannot open the file, let me know. Once you've read the new member document, we can move on from there with more questions. best wishes, -- moderator, Iodine list At 10:46 AM 4/30/2011, you wrote: >Hey Everyone >Im new to this group. Guest guest
Do you need a prescription for lugols? I live in far northern alberta. I contacted some health food stores that Carry a form of iodine drops. No clue what the quality is like compared to lugols. Lugols seems to be the iodine of choice. This site has good info on iodine http://www.tbyil.com/anticancer.htm Says you can buy it here http://www.utopiasilver.com/products/supplements/iodine.htm It comes in 2 ounce bottles. The site says you should take between 50-100mg a day which is about 50-100 drops per day. That seems like allot does anyone know. That would be between 1-2 bottles per month. I was also advised to take selenium with it. It said 900-2000mg a day of it. Most pills are about 250mg so thats 5 pills a day. This also seems like allot. Does anyone have experience with these doses and cancer? Does anyone know of a good lugols supply in Canada? Is lugols the only iodine out there worth looking at? All info is appreciated. Guest guest
Ben, This list is the source of the best, cutting-edge information about iodine. Please read the New Member document that I sent in my previous email. Lugol's (liquid) or Iodoral (tablets) is the best type of iodine to use because we use milligram doses and other types of iodine don't have enough iodine in them, they are much more expensive to use. Generally speaking, for people looking at using larger doses such as yourself, Lugol's is more cost effective. -- At 03:58 PM 4/30/2011, you wrote: >Do you need a prescription for lugols? Guest guest
Ben: Dr Loretta Lanphier posts sometimes on this site. Look her up for her story on her blog. She went through stage 4 colon cancer, naturally, and runs a site dedicated to natural wellness...Oasis Wellness, or something like that. You can also search her posts on an advanced search here; type in her name " Dr. L " Best of Luck. I am so sorry for your dilemma, but you are on the right track so far. Most who nip their cancer do an aggressive iodine protocol, and aggressive dietary regimen like Gerson and enzyme therapy, as well as detoxing things like Infrared Sauna, liver flushes, coffee enemas and the like. All of them together. Sounds like you have been trying very hard to do that. Marcy > > Hey Everyone > Im new to this group. Guest guest
Ben Take Iodoral. It is the best bang for your buck. You need a lot of iodine and might as well just swallow 4-6 50mg pills instead of measuring and tasting all those drops. VRP and BreastCancerChoices.org sell it, as do many others sites. The price points vary by twenty-five dollars, so you might want to compare, but then again there has been a slight shortage due to the Japan crisis. Sellers are just beginning to build back their supplies. I second the motion for you to read VERY carefully the new member docs in the " Files " section at the left sidebar of our message homepage. They will outline all the important supplements to take, and amounts, with iodine, so that the iodine works the way it is supposed to. Guest guest
Ben I'm in Ontario, too. I'm not facing what you're facing, but in some respects we're lucky to be where we are. I had no trouble getting a prescription for LDN when I asked, and we can get Lugol's 5% with no great problem. Health n' SYnc (Barrie) also has it by mail if you aren't in Toronto! Guest guest
Hi Ben I saw your post here and on another forum, I think. I am a stage 3 colon cancer survivor of eleven years. I did have a resection to remove the tumor and then did one month of hellacious chemo and ended up in the hospital with severe dehydration. Oncologist wanted me to do six months of chemo. We decided to look elsewhere when the oncologist admitted that I had a 70% of recurrence even with chemo. I highly suggest researching Dr. in New York. Instead of putting money toward therapies that may or may not work, take that money and get an appointment with Dr. . Much of the protocol that Dr. uses is high dose enzyme therapy. That was also a part the therapy that I used. I don’t know Dr. personally (would love to meet him one day) but his work is based on Dr. Kelley’s Protocol for cancer. Have you read Suzanne Somer’s book KNOCKOUT? It is very informative about doctors who are curing cancer and in my opinion this book should be in everyone’s health library. I wrote a blog about the recent NBC interview with Suzanne in which Dr. and Dr. Burzynski were interviewed and scrutinized. Iodine, Oleander and LDN are all great choices, but at stage four I would highly recommend having a knowledgeable practitioner to help manage an effective protocol for your health concerns. My health testimony can be found at http://www.ahha.org/articles.asp?Id=96 There are no magic bullets when it comes to degenerative disease; however, when approached from a whole-body standpoint degenerative disease can be cured – even cancer. I wish you much success on your path toward health and wellness! Be Well Dr.L On 2011-04-30, at 11:46 AM, ben_roche1 <ben_roche1@> wrote: Hey Everyone Im new to this group. Guest guest
Hey Dr L Thanks for your post. I actually discovered Dr Gonalezs site from Somer's blog when a woman posted that she was cured with his help from stage 4 breast cancer. I researched him allot, read up on Enzymes, specifically ones made from I think it was pork liver. He makes his own I think. Then I looked into his treatment costs and realized I could never afford it. If I had the money he would be my first choice but Canada Health Care and insurance would never cover that. I did, after reading his work go out and buy Wobozym N, which is an ezyme made of some of the similar things he mentioned. I think he has his patients on something like 90 various pills and supplements a day. That and he was a big supporter of coffee enemas. I dont know what the protocol of enemas are when you have colon cancer? Is it dangerous? Do you know what an appointment with him runs at? My health is at the point I am a little scared to travel. New York is a far ways away from me. He is however a person I feel confident in trusting with my health. Dont know if I could afford his treatment though. I hate knowing that money is the one thing standing in my way of recovery. I know there are amazing clinic in Germany, Mexico and China that are doing some really out there things and having great success. They are all running at about 25 - 60 thousand a month. For a while I was trying to fundraise but realized that these clinics are out of reach for me and If I was going to do it I had to find economical ways, research myself, and maybe take their protocols and supplement them with things that are as close to what they use as possible. I dont plan to give up on the fight until I cant fight no more. The new things I have found are Oleander, Iodine and LDN. I am going to add those to my current vitamin, diet, supplement regime and hope for the best. I am willing to try anything, starting with the things that work best with people. I have not read through your links yet but I most certainly will. Any info you can give me about things you did since our situations are similar is greatly appreciated. My email is ben_roche1@... or post here and I will check back often. Thanks again Ben > > > > Hey Everyone > > > > Im new to this group. Guest guest
Hi Ben, I just wanted to note on the selenium (it is very important) but it is measured in micrograms as opposed to milligrams -- it might have been a typo and you could already know that, but it will save you a few minutes of searching if you didn't realize. You will find most here take between 200-400 MCG per day. The cancer protocols may call for higher doses. I also would recommend Iodoral as an easy source and easily shipped to you. Breastcancerchoices.org does a great job shipping it right out and they have a lot of info available -- I do know there are probably cheaper sources of Iodoral as well. Best of luck in your path. Definitely keep asking questions -- the people here have a lot of knowledge on a wide range of topics related to health and alternative therapies. > > > > > > > > Hey Everyone > > > > > > > > Im new to this group.
