A lot of people use oil -- coconut or castor have been mentioned -- to counteract the drying effect of the Lugol's on the skin. Some people apply the Lugol's in different places, in rotation, but since you are addressing a focal point, I would go with the oil.AnneOn May 3, 2011, at 8:41 AM, rainbowjoye wrote:<--static--intheclouds_lt.gif>Last night and this morning after showering, I mixed about 4 drops of DMSO and 4 drops of Lugol's 2% in a glass dish. I would also take iodine orally for your whole body. With cancer many use 100mg to 300 mg of lugols or iodoral each day. Cancer would indicate that you likely have a high amount of bromide or something else blocking the receptors as many of us did in the beginning. Are you taking it orally as well as putting it on the spots? Pam

I'm wondering if this mixture of DMSO and Lugol's would work for bladder cancer or lung cancer?

By applying the solution to the bladder area would this help?

As a long time DMSO user, I can say that DMSO has a drying affect on the skin.

You can google DMSO. Some article say that DMSO can carry everything including

dirt or soap skum, etc, in your skin to your blood stream.I couldn't find the

article, but if I didn't remember wrong, the DMSO can keep your skin open to

dirt 6 hours after applying it. So oil will be safer though DMSO is a stronger

carrier. Also, better to make sure your DMSO is very pure.

And make sure the breast & hand are very clean.I never heard that 6 hour thing before. Are you sure about that? DMSO is a solvent, so it dissolves substances & carries them along with it -- like pouring water on a sugar cube. Meaning that it flows away with the substance it dissolved. That 6-hour thing seems at least questionable... (How would anybody even prove that, I wonder?)AnneOn May 8, 2011, at 12:19 PM, wrote:

Joy,

If you have not already, consider joining the DMSO group to learn more

about DMSO in general.

It is usually diluted with distilled water to at least a 70% solution before

applying to the skin, but I don't know if that is necessary when combining it

with Lugol's as Lugol's has a large percentage of distilled water in it's make

up.

When making the 70% solution of DMSO it is important that the DMSO is added to

the distilled water and not vice versa. Use glass containers. Wait until the

heated reaction has stopped before applying to skin or drinking it. Perhaps

the same would be said for the Lugols/DMSO mix... ?

After about 15 or 20 minutes do apply coconut oil or emu oil to your skin to

keep it from drying out.

Also check out message #73215 on this forum.

Using DMSO, skin, 6 hour as key works and google, I found the following:

DMSO can carry any chemical that has a molecular weight of up to 1,000 right

through the skin and into the body, into the blood stream, and even through the

blood-brain barrier. Further, following application to the skin, it leaves the

skin more permeable than normal, or ¡°hyper-permeable¡±, for up to 6 hours. This

which means that chemicals such as the dye from clothing that comes into contact

with DMSO-treated skin could be accidentally allowed through the skin and

carried directly into the body. Obvoiusly, it is not likely that such dye will

be beneficial to one¡¯s health once it is inside the body!

Hello,

This is good information but I wouldn't be afraid to use DMSO because of it.

One must merely be careful. I also think there is a difference between using

DMSO following iodine and DMSO alone or with something else other than iodine.

If I were to have breast cancer, I would use DMSO with iodine. There are

differing opinions on this but that's what I would do.

DMSO should not be used with essential oils.

" DMSO can carry anything with a molecular weight of under 1000 into the blood

stream " .Dirt doesn't generally come that small.Doubt 'soap scum' does

either.Neither do most bacteria or virus's. Yes, as mentioned, if you are going

to use DMSO, you should educate yourself about it. Should be applied to clean,

dry skin; no lotions or emollients.

The danger comes from not understanding; NOT from using properly, after a

thorough understanding.For instance, so-called 'safe' Tylenol.Should educate

yourself BEFORE using! There is a group " DMSO " . I would join, and read all

the files and new member documents, and then put your questions to them. After

all, better to go to the horses mouth, than the other end.Jim
