I believe there are many on this group that would tell you YES! they have done

just that. Of coarse, its not JUST iodine.Need the companion nutrients, (Yes,

thanks all! I found them, right where I was looking.)

Its too bad you had 1/2 your thyroid removed, just because you had a goiter. If

you had started on iodine, surgery would have been unnecesary.By the by,

technical point; unless you are a dog, you only have 1 Thyroid gland.Dogs have

2; 1 on each side. People have 1, connected in the middle, hence the description

Dr. told me I have one gland left on left side after removing goiter on right.

He wanted to take it all, but I wouldn't alow it. So I'm confused...

So am I. There is no need to surgically remove a goiter.Or, maybe its your Dr.
