Providone-Iodine vs. SSKI for keloids

I don't know where to get SSKI, and before joining the group I had mistakenly

purchased what I thought was iodine, but it was " providone-iodine "

I am trying to get rid of a keloid from a skin biopsy excision where the

stitches were removed prematurely and popped open overnight (arm). It's about

the size of a dime.

I read some horror stories about providone-iodine in wound dressings for burn

victims (iodine overload?) and was wondering your take on this.

I'd read about Lugol's and SSKI for moles/keloids somewhere but don't know what

exactly I need and what is the difference. My plan was a 50:50 DMSO SSKI for

the keloids (have a worm one about an inch long as well).

Thanks in advance.

Also, with Hashimoto's what's the likelyhood of this regimen above affecting my

thyroid? I had been taking kelp tabs for a while with mixed results. It takes

a while to see changes and sometimes it's hard to gauge which way they're going.

Thanks again.
