Gracia, I did do better on my HC, but it was making me gain weight.

I am taking 12mgs now. 5, 5, and 2.5

I am only experimenting to see if I can stay there or not.

Right now I am dealing with pain in my side every night for two months. I just went to the chiropractor and he does not know if it is related to my back or not.

He thinks it might be kidney pain.

I wonder if adrenals can cause pain?

I only get it when I lay down for some reason.

Can iodine cause kidneys to be flushing out so much that they hurt????

Also about my adrenals, I am getting my hormones tested this weekend. Pregnalone and Dhea are in there and if they are in need, I would rather try that instead of HC, as I read uses those to support adrenals.

your symptoms sound like you should be taking HC 5mg 4X a day. graciaOn 4/24/2011 6:52 PM, Terry Quinn wrote:

I take magnesium citrate, no chloride, or are they the same? I will check inot malate.

I don't take antacids at all.

I don't take calcium either. My blood calcium is high.

I am on 12 mgs of hydrocortisone.

Licorice root, vite C, B complex 100, fish oil, Half dose of daily energy infusion (endfatigue.com) (can't afford a whole dose), 50mgs lugols in natural vinegar and water, 60 mgs westhroid, 5000mgs D3, and 1200 mgs magnesium.

I just got some adrenal supplements with adrenal cortex in them and other herbs. Going to start that.

Last year my blood cortisol was 5 in the morning. I went on HC and was up to 30 mgs, but started feeling better after on iodine and raising my antidepressant, so lowered that to 12.5 as it was making me gain weight.

I want to get off that completely.

When I went off the antiderpressant before, I went very slow, but maybe not slow enough.

I have depression while on it actually, so not sure what is wrong.

Thyroid maybe.

Iodine might be taking the levels of my antidepressant down.

I am trying my best each day, but often have to force myself to stay out of bed and keep going.

That is very interesting. I checked my blood levels though and they are not high enough. Mine are 9.6 and 9.3

Maybe I should have the parathyrioid level checked though.

My doctor is getting a bit upset with me bringing in ideas that I read on the internet.

It is hard to find doctors that are good these days, so not sure how to approach him with another new test needed, lol

I read the symptoms though and it is a nice fit. Would be great if a simple surgery solved my problem.

Your earlier post mentioned high blood calcium ... have you had parathyroid checked?http://parathyroid.com/high-calcium.htmAnd perhaps you can request a kidney panel when you see the practitioner who will be checking hormones.posted 4/25/11 @ 9:53 EDT/8:53 CDT/6:53 PDT ~ PM > Â > >> >Â > >> >> >I take magnesium citrate, no chloride, or are they the same? There isn't anything simple about that surgery though on para thyroid. My aunt survived it last year but ended up hospitalized for many weeks. They kept releasing her and bringing her back over about 2 months. So surgery may seem simple but that seems to be the before pictures and not the after pictures. Pam
