Why do we fear CPS???

Most often, the parents set up a " red flag " on themselves by either arguing

with a Pediatrician, or the Health Department or a physician or nurse at the

ER... It is best to keep a low profile when it comes to this..

Just recently, due to my son's bout of Mumps... I have learned that many

parents and even teachers at in his school district did not get the MMR tha

was required by Pennsylvania by April 30, 2001.. Many people are privy to

the medical or religious exemptions and use them... They keep a low profile

and do not get into it with anyone, students, colleagues, school officials

or the school nurse... Just stay low... Don't talk about it much, Guide

folks to the lists if they are in need of answers and just go with the

flow... It is truly a shame that we cannot speak up.., that we cannot save

every infant who could potentially die of " SIDS " from vaccines.. that we

cannot help every autistic, ADD, learning disabled, seizuring possibility in

the infant population.... But we can only do what we do and hope that

others are enlightened before it happens to them..

know about your vac. standing. Unless I had relatives who were jumpy--even

then you could lie to them. Schools usually just want some sort of

paperwork filled out whether you vac. or not doesnt matter here just as long

as there is the correct form in their folders. I have had Autumn in 2

different daycares and now enrolled in public school and no one so much as

batted an eye. I do worry a small bit about her getting some of the

diseases, but that is why I stay on this list--to be reaffirmed that I am

doing the right thing.
