FDA PANEL BACKS CAUTIOUS USE OF 'DESIGNER' CELL SUBSTRATES FOR NOVEL

VACCINES

The new generation of 'designer' cell substrates, which have been shown

to cause tumors in animal models, may be used to produce novel vaccines

as long as manufacturers can show that the product carries a low risk of
