My 5 year old daughter has had a continous croupy cough since 1

year of age. I started to keep track of her croup episodes since she

was 18 months old. She gets an attack every 4 to 6 weeks. Recently, I

took her to an allergist. He is now treating her with a bronchilador,

nose sprays and a pill called singular. I ask him if vaccines were

the cause of her allergies and asthma. He said vaccines are good at

preventing diseases but they increase the risk of allergies and

asthma. I am very upset if there is any chance at all that vaccines

may be the reason for her asthma. I have been doing alot of research

on the subject concerning vaccines. I am horrified of the information

I have been reading about. I wished I would have learned about the

risks of vaccines before my daughter was born. I never gave it a

second thought. I trusted my doctor. Unfortunately, has been

fully vax with everything. I feel so guiltly, I pray she will be ok

in the long term. For now, I have stopped all vaccines with and

my second child, 18 month old . I need to do more research. I

need to be 100% sure and comfortable with my decisions. Any comments

or related experiences are deeply appreciated. thanks bonnie

My son started wheezing 3 days after his 3rd round of vaccines, DPTH #3 and

Hep B #1. A croupy type cough 5 days later, he ended up in the hosp on the

9th day. He was 7.5 months. He was sent home a day and a half later with a

nebulizer and a script for Albuterol. For several months after that, he

would get a cough that would last several weeks, and congested.

I stopped vaccines at that point, and now at 25 months, he is much better

and hasn't had a long lasting episode since mid Oct of 2000.

Yes, they definitely are one of the causes - the main one in my opinion.

I strongly encourage you to take your child to a homeopath - this can be

cured with homeopathy with a quality, classical homeopath.

I just spent from 1 to 3:30 am in the ER with my 7 yr old

last Sunday morning. The doctor said it was at first an asthma

attack and I thought it was croup. Well he later changed his tune

and said it sounded like croup but my son was " too old " for it.

Well, my main peditritian said, I HATE IT WHEN DOCTORS

SAY THAT, HE IS NOT TOO OLD, that she has had kids as

old at 13 get croup.

Anyway I found a website called Elixirs.com and looked up asthma

and croup. I have found and just finished the first two hours for his

croup, the remedy called Antimonium Tartaricum ... (Tart for short).

I also ordered the Asthma BHI just in case one of them was right.

It is a great website, for me anyway, and when you call, there is an actual

woman who answers and helps.

The number is 800-390-9970, 8 am to 5 pm Pacific time, Health Questions

are 509-766-0182.
