Guest guest
well, it was a brief one, but i thought it was balanced. it began with home video footage of a little boy around 2 years, and a voice-over with his name, how he was developing (ie starting to speak in sentences, etc). then his mother was talking on camera, saying how he'd begun to change after his shot. he would spin in circles and was grunting more than talking. there was also an interview w/a doctor from ohsu (oregon health sciences university). he has 2 sons, 5 and 8 yrs., who are autistic, and he thinks that looking into a vaccine-autism connection is something that should be done. the report said that some believe that the mercury poisoning (they were basically saying that kids could have mercury poisoning as opposed to autism) begins at birth, when a newborn is injected hours after birth. then it continues with the administration of the mmr vax. they totally skipped over the shots in-between those two. of course, they had the spin doctor on, some pedi (forget where from, some children's hospital i think), saying vaccines are " absolutely safe " and go through " rigorous testing " before being approved by the fda. (at this point i screamed an obscenity at the television and asked " what about the rotovirus vax that KILLED children? " ) soooooo....not a bad report, all things considered. about what i expected. tami

THe disgusting tragedy is that the creators/researchers KNEW the intussception (sp?) would occur because that is exactly what happened in their study of Chinese children, but didn't think it was relevant to mention to the FDA panel (not that they would have cared).
