Guest guest
YIKES!!! I am definitely NOT in agreement with this. This is NOT homeopathy. This is throwing a bunch of stuff against the wall and hoping something sticks. You need to find the one remedy that matches YOUR child's symptom picture. Sometimes this might work if the remedy is in the soup that your child needs, but what are all those other remedies doing in your child and what is the interaction of them all. They've never been tested together in homeopathy. I know it sounds good and I know the chior gave it to you. But this is not homeopathy or good practice. Sorry, have to speak my truth Sheri At 11:33 AM 03/05/2001 -0800, you wrote: >this is a post i made elsewhere about the homeopathic meds the chiro (whose >father is a practicing nd in the same clinic) gave me last friday for my >kids, primarily b/c my 4 mo old has a slight ear infection from the cold he >is recuperating from. tami > >>>well, it might've been helpful if i'd given the correct name of them! >*L* they are actually called " oto-plex " . duh. the info below is from the >pkg insert: >>> >>>indications: for ear aches, and congestion or inflammation in the ear >(otitis media) >>> >>>how does oto-plex work?: oto-plex stimulates the immune system and >reduces pain and inflammation. the homeopathic potencies are effective >against both acute and chronic forms of otitis media. this includes >symptoms such as noises in the ear, stabbing pains in the ear and swelling >of the nasal mucosa (rhinitis). >>> >>>when should oto-plex not be used?: if you are hypersensitive either to >iodine, one of the active ingredients, or to plants of the compositae >family. in the case of thyroid disorders, conult a health care >practitioner prior to use. >>> >>>active ingredients: 100 ml contains echinacea purpurea tincture, 7.5 ml; >chamomilla recutita tincture, 2.25 ml; sambucus nigra tincture 2.25 ml; >aconitum napellus 6x 0.75 ml; borax 4x 0.75 ml; capsium annuum 4x 0.75 ml; >hydrastis canadensis 4x 0.75 ml; iodium 4x 0.75 ml; mercurius cyanatus 6x >0.75 ml; sanguinaria canadensis tincture 1x 0.75 ml. >>> >>>inactive ingredient: ethanol >>> >>>this is from an info sheet the doctor gave me: administer oto-plex until >ears, nose, and throat infections (upper respiratory tract) have cleared. >the first 2 days of treatment dose every hour but not more than 12 times >daily. on the third day dose t.i.d the following: >>> >>>infants up to 1 year: 2-4 drops >>>children up to 6 years: 4-6 drops >>>children from 6 to 12 years: 5-10 drops >>>adults: 12-15 drops >>>in chronic cases: 1-3 times daily >>> >>>(i think t.i.d means 3x/day) >>> >>>it is manufactured by weber & weber international GmbH & co.
