How about a book as a gift?

I really liked Mendelsohn's " How to raise a healthy child in spite of your doctor" its a nice easy read and puts a persons mind at ease. It only costs about $6 or so.

Thanks, Tammy! I thought I might see you here. I just found a page

w/the ingredients, and I think had sent that out recently, too.

That will definitely be included, but I'm also looking for succinct

info on risks of contracting the disease vs. risks of side effects,

and also info on rates of vaccination in measles outbreak groups,

etc. I know I've seen it, just don't know where to find it now!

Thanks for the suggestion.

Give her a list of the current vaccine schedule. Then lead her to the vaccine

inserts. Also provide info on the diseases.Let her do the research.Oh vaccine

ingredient list is also useful.Various studies relevant to vaccines.Have her

also look into Vaers and the compensation program.Best to know what one is

getting into when you choose to vaccinate.

Tell her to look through the health departments site on the rate of various

diseases in your area. The smart medicine book by Zand covers the VPD,and

offers suggestions once you contract those diseases.

Go to my website where I've posted some valuable " Introductory Information

& Articles " as well as info on each vaccine.

The articles there I feel are some of the best. You don't want anything

too far out, just the facts.

Also as a gift I would give her

The Vaccine Guide by Randall Neustaedter

and

Immunization: Theory Vs. Reality by Neil Z.

Also I would get How To Raise a Healthy Child in Spite of Your Doctor -

Mendelsohn

You can get these from my website

Lydia,

When I was making the decision, Mothering Magazine published an article

" Vaccinations, the issue of our times " (not sure this is the exact title)

and it was EXCELLENT. I bet you could get that article. It changed my

decision by educating me in an open manner.

Hi all. I have been a member for a while but just read the postings

rather than getting the e-mails. My daughter, 15 months, is not

vaccinated and each day that goes by I am happier and more satisfied

wtih our decision.

I have a good friend who is pregnant with her first child and I would

like your input on the *best* info I can get for her (pref. to print

hope, to encourage her to research the issue for herself. I know

there are lots of great sites and pages out there, but some of you

who are more familiar with these than I am might have a suggestion

for a good starting point.

Your input will be greatly appreciated!

Thanks, Lydia

Thank you all for your excellent suggestions. I have made note and

will be spending some time trying to get some things together for

her. I just want to be choosy about what I include because I know

that if someone gave a little pointed, specific info I would be more

receptive than if they gave me stacks of stuff.

Thanks again, Lydia

Hi Lydia,

I suggest that you try this site:

http://www.unc.edu/~aphillip/www/vaccine/dvm1.htm and see if this is the

kind of thing you want to give her. I found it very good.
