My 6 year old had about 4 ear infections by the time she was 9 months old.

My 9 month old had one small one, not even bad enough to warrent an

antibiotic and it went away quickly. The 9 month old had only 2 hib's

before her 9 month appointment. Does seem strange.

Many/most people who don't vaccinate their children have children WITHOUT

any ear infections - my observation!

well, i had 37 ear infections BEFORE i turned 4 years old. i had all my

vaxxes, not pointing fingers mind you! i think that is excessive, even to

blame on them lol i do honestly think for whatever reason i am pre-disposed

to them and pneumonia (which i had the first 8 months of my pregnancy), as i

still get at least one a year (and my doc is trying to get me to get vaxxed

for them!). but dor isn't vaxxed (he got the first hep b in the hospital

tho, against my wishes) and hasn't been sick yet (he's 4.5 months) so maybe

we will get lucky.

ok, i am done rambling now

Hello,

My son just turned 7, is totally unvaxed, and has never had an ear

infection, is very healthy, and copes with illness well, when he gets it ...

I chose not to vax based on a gut feeling, and now have SO much info to back

me up ... this group is great.

Good for you. I breast-fed for two years with each baby... I should have

went farther. I was tandem nursing, working full time, and pumping for

awhile... I got tired. I now regret stopping with my daughter or she would

still be bfing. My son just stopped at 2 (six months ago). My heart was

broken.

You go girl and don't let no one stop you. No better love for a child!!!

For those of you new to the list (I apologize to those who have heard this

before), I nursed my first son until he was four and the second until he was

six. I made a point of doing it in public until they were three.

(Discreetly, but in public still)

Don't let anyone discourage you from nursing as long as both you and your

child are eager to do so. Our knowledge of the benefits continues to grow.
