I'm new, my name is Tonya. I didn't get to read the first email on this

subject, but my daughter is 18 months just stop breathing and went into

seizures and was brought by ambulance to the hospital (1/27/01). They found

nothing wrong with her other than a fever. Then my friend told me about this

website. My daughter had had her Pertussis, tetanus and diptheria shot

exactly 2 weeks prior. When I asked the if it could be related, my question

was dismissed with a chuckle. I have refused a few shots prior, but now

after reading into this, I will dismiss them all together. As a first time

parent I feel the doctors practically force the shots on you and make you

feel guilty for refusing. My child is more important than an experiment.

Anyway, what do you all think? Could the shots be the cause of her seizures?

Neither my husband nor I have a family history of them.

If you child had a high fever then the seizures may not be a vaccine reaction

but just febrile convulsions. My (unvaxed) son had one of these when he had

a flu-like virus a year ago. Apparently these occur when the fever spikes

suddenly (i.e. it is the sudden rise in temperature rather than the height of

the temperature that the immature brain can't cope with). Febrile

convulsions are nasty to see but are not supposed to be serious in the long

term. Most children outgrow them by the time they are 5 or 6.

If your child was given DPT (whole cell pertussis) rather than DTAP (partial

cell) you should complain to your doctor as the whole cell vaccine is the

most dangerous vaccine of all and the one most likely to cause brain damage.

Any decent doctor shouldn't be offering this lethal vaccine.

Sounds like seizures.

possibly from the pertussis vaccine... its known to cause this.

Hi Tonya...your daughter (I hope that everything is alright with her, now

and in the future) could have definately had a reaction to her DPT shot, and

it makes me want to kill the doctor for dismissing your concerns so

callously. Especially when nothing else was obviously wrong with her. But

then, we have all come to EXPECT these reactions from the doctors,

unfortunately. Anyway...do you or your husbands family have any history of

allergies, asthma, eczema or reactions to any vaccines? These could all put

your daughter at a higher risk for reactions/damages herself. Ask Phyllis,

or Sheri, about any homeopathic treatments/remedies that you may be able to

give her to help detoxify her system. I believe Thuja can help, although I

don't know the dosages...

I would say , yes it was from the vaccine. Getting a doctor to acknowledge

that is next to impossible.

You should fill out a VAERS form about the reaction whether your doctor

thinks it is or not.

Anything that happens after a vaccine needs to be documented

DTap can also cause seizures and everything else that DTP caused.

And many times the seizures are blamed on fevers and they are the vaccines!

They always do that but not always with a chuckle! Of course it could be

related - it has happened thousands and thousands of times and they just

deny, deny.

Your story is the same sad story we hear every day. I encourage you to see

a homeopath with her in order to help get rid of the disturbance that the

vaccine is still possibly causing.

No, Thuja shouldn't just be used routinely. In the past it was used

specifically for smallpox vaccine sometimes but some people have started

using it for every vaccine and that is NOT homeopathy. Her child needs to

be seen by a homeopath and her total case examined and the exact remedy for

her found. Don't indiscriminately use one remedy. There is no magic

bullet. It requires a quality classical homeopath.

Thuja could be used after any vaccine...it is good to know the truth...
