Anybody else had problems with VERNONS CHEMIST

HI ALL

Vernons had informed me that there would be no problems in obtaining GOLDSHIELD

LEVROTHYROXINE 25MCG (blue pack). Twice they have supplied correctley, but this

time they sent ELTROXIN 25mcg (green pack).

I got in touch to tell them it was the wrong one, and the difference is that the

one that I normally have is NOT ANHYDROUS SODIUM, and have noted problems with

this. ELTROXIN is ANHYDROUS SODIUM.

I think VERNONS must get in stock whichever they get the best deal on.

They told me that if I returned it to them, they would then give me back my

prescription so that I could get the correct one elsewhere.

The weather is preventing me from doing this however, so I contacted the surgery

to see if they would re-issue the prescription to BOOTS to deliver, but this too

was refused. They did say however that it was up to VERNONS to collect the

prescription that left and to bring my prescription back to me.

I have had a problem with getting them to do this, but in the end they said they

would colect it tomorrow depending on the weather.

I believe ELTROXIN caused a lot of people to be ill in NEW ZEALAND (am I correct

here?)
