Guest guest
Hi all, Was recently diagnosed hypo with a TSH of 8.49, have been on 75mcg levothyroxine for around 7 weeks now and have had some test results which I'd greatly appreciate any help with TSH 4.94 (range = 0.3-4.6) FT4 17.5 (12.0-22.0) FT3 4.9 (2.8-7.1) I'm still pretty ill but am glad to see the TSH has come down, I realise it does need to be around 1 though to feel better.. what I was wondering about was the FT3.. is this ok or should it be higher? Am I possibly having conversion problems or is it too early to tell? Am seeing an endocrinologist on Weds and would just like to be informed. Also my thyroid antibodies have come back as negative: TPO 12 (0-34) My GP went through the other causes with me but none apply to me. Is it important to find out the true cause incase it can be treated and the hypo reversed? Or will the thyroid be destroyed anyway, whatever the cause? My GP didn't seem sure. Sorry, one last thing - I had B12 and folate tested (am still arguing for the others to be tested): B12 678 (191-663) Folate 8.4 (4.6-18.7) So all looks good with those, I think? (except for elevated B12 but I don't think that's an issue) Thanks for any help Jess
