When someone joins this main group I send out an invitation to join the chat group and the science group.   The chat group is a private group by invitation only but everyone who joins gets this invitation.  I give the link to the chat group in the invitation.

It is supposed to be for our members to chat about anything other than thyroid, which is the purpose of the main group. No, not the 'chat' but, if anyone does want to use the chat bit they can do so, but it will be necessary to tell the person or whoever you wish to chat to, or everyone, when you are likely to be there, as you will find several people will go to the chat but nobody is there at the same time.

I'm wondering if the kefir probiotics can help with the stomach upset

that some of the diabetes meds cause? Just tossing the thought out

there. I tend to make smoothies with my kefir and I love to make them

for my diabetic mom. She sometimes doesn't eat the best, so when I see

her, I can give her a smoothie loaded with good stuff (bananas and

frozen fruit) and I usually put a 1TB of non GMO rice protein powder in

it too, that way she gets protein along with her carbs.

I would recommend she test her blood sugar after the smoothie. My mom also has

diabetes and she finds if she uses banana's in her kefir her blood sugar gets

too high.
