This message was posted to the wrong forum so I have transferred

it to the main thyroid forum.

Luv - Sheila

I switched from 120 mcg Synthroid to 90 mg of

NDT back in March of 2010 after not having any significant improvement on the

Synthroid. Unfortunately my levels have increased since my last testing just

prior to switching. My TSH is now high at 26.220 and T3 is also high at 167

with T4 being low at 0.42. Of course my Dr. is saying I should go back to

Synthroid but I am still hesitant to do so because my energy levels are still

higher than they were on Synthroid.

I was a member of this list back then and thought I some some information on

the type of testing that I should have done to get more specific information to

post here for feedback but have not been able to find anything in the files so

some help on the type of testing I should have done would be helpful as well as

some suggestions on current dosage. I ordered from an online pharmacy

recommended by this list and as stated above currently take 90 mg of that NDT based

on the conversion table also provided by this list. Should I decrease or

increase current dosage now or wait for blood work? My Dr. is a decent guy who

is willing to work with me so I could probably get the blood work I need there

or I can go to someplace else and have it done provided I know what to be

tested for. I live in the Southeast US in Charlotte, NC if that helps.

Sorry for the long post and any info. would be helpful.
