Guest guest
Hi , you need large doses of vitamin C with any iron supplements to help with iron absorption. You need about 4/5000. Luv - Sheila I went out and bought it anyway... I could not find the Ferrous Sulphate...where did you buy it? I took two Hemaplex today and so far I am not feeling odd or have any stomach issues - I figure I can work up to 4x per day. I like that it has Vit C, etc. in it...then maybe I will not have to pop so many pills with each meal.
Guest guest
Have you done the 24 hour salivary adrenal profile to see where your cortisol and DHEA levels lie at four particular times during the day. Many hypothyroid sufferers have low adrenal reserve and until that is treated, no amount of thyroid hormone can get into the cells. If you have not had this test, first go to our Files section (accessible from the Home Page of this forum) and scroll down to the Folder entitled 'Medical Questionnaires' - then do the Adrenal Questionnaire and see how you score. You can also complete the Candida and Magnesium questionnaire whilst you are there. Then go back to the Files, and click on ;'Adrenals' and in the list there you will find 'Home Testing'. Try those out and see what happens and let us know. Luv - Sheila Thanks for writing back. Good to know it is at Boots. I will let you know how it goes... I started T3 with a low Ferritin and it has been mixed...I kind of tollerate it and kind of don't. Same thing happened to me on Armour. Yes..a slow road . We can share Ferritin stories in a few months and hopefully we will have something to celebrate..
Guest guest
300mgs vitamin C won't do much good in your particular case though , so pleased to hear you are also taking 4000mgs daily with meals. Luv - Sheila Thank you. Actually the Hemaplex has 300mg of Vit C in each dose. I also take 3000mg of Vit C per day with meals. Fingers crossed it works.
