Guest guest
I very much doubt that you can be 100% positive it is the thyroxine that is causing your hair loss. There are many, many reasons for hair loss beside levothyroxine or natural thyroid extract or even a lack of thyroid hormone replacement. Thyroxine stays in the body for up to 6 weeks and if it was thyroxine causing your hair loss I honestly doubt your hair would stop falling out after only two days Kathleen. Surely you should be starting the pure form of thyroxine from dale's Pharmacy at the same dose you are taking now until your body gets used to it and then titrate the dosage from there. Luv - Sheila Can anyone explain this, two days after no thyroxine my hair has stopped falling out. This has happened twice now, and falls out on going back on thyroxine. I also look back to before I was ever placed on thyroxine and my hair fell out badly, so can anyone explain this. My GP has condescended to prescribe anything I wish to try. I have decided to try the non allergic thyroxine from dale's, but will have to wait a fortnight I would think. Can anyone advise how would be best to start on it. I have suggested to the GP that he prescribes 100x25mcg until I know what dosage is best, and that there is improvement. _,_._,___
Guest guest
HI SHEILA If it is not the thyroxine that causes my hair to fall out while taking it, could it be another ingrediant in it, and here is the list----sodium citrate, lactose, maize starch, acacia powder, magnesium stearate, purified water. Can you spot anything in this list that could cause my hair to fall out, and stops this after two days without. It could be that before I was on thyroxine that I could have also been taking the same ingrediant that caused it to fall out. It remains to be seen what happens when I receive my supply of dales thyroxine. Kathleen > > I very much doubt that you can be 100% positive it is the thyroxine that is > causing your hair loss.
