Guest guest
HI SHEILA Having digested this I have been in more trouble by taking vitamins including the latest multi vitamins and vitamin D. I have also had problems with calcium carbonate which I have to filter out of the water as the area is high in calcium carbonate. I hope before too long that they find out exactley what I do need, so that my bones and muscles are no longer a problem. I am quite astonished that something as simple as Vit D seems to have so much controversy and changing guidance surrounding it. Clearly different doses are required to help or prevent different health problems. By all accounts Vit D experts have been ignored. Guest guest
thanks for posting that sheila ...it highlights that once again they are taking the p*** and we are being taken for suckers: " Is there a Hidden Agenda? Interestingly enough, while the importance of sunlight and oral vitamin D supplements are being suppressed, a patentable vitamin D drug is currently in the works, the Alliance for Natural Health reports " A pharmaceutical company is developing a patentable man-made vitamin D analog†" yes, a synthetic drug version of vitamin D. And Glenville , PhD, one of the committee members who determined the new vitamin D guidelines and who is quoted as saying that under these guidelines, most people " probably don't have vitamin D deficiency " and " We think there has been an exaggeration of the public's interest in vitamin D deficiency, " is an advisor for that same pharmaceutical company. " Might this have anything to do with the IOM's blatant disregard for the evidence at hand? " i followed some of the links ....i keep reading elesewhere about this horrendous possibility http://www.infowars.com/senate-bill-s510-makes-it-illegal-to-grow-share-trade-or\ -sell-homegrown-food/ thank heavens for people like dr chopra http://shivchopra.com/?page_id=2 trish > > http://articles.mercola.com/sites/articles/archive/2010/12/11/vitamin-d-upda > te-carole-baggerly-and-dr-cannell.aspx > > > > I thought you would find this article very interesting " Why the New Vitamin > D Recommendations Spell Disaster For Your Health " . >
Guest guest
Doesn't this remind you of the situation regarding thyroid hormone replacement. Natural thyroid extract was used safely and successfully (and in much higher doses than they use now) for over 50 years for all sufferers of the symptoms of hypothyroidism, and then they manufactured synthetic thyroxine - and lo and behold! they patented it and made millions of pounds. They started rubbishing natural thyroid extract saying it was " dangerous " and had potency problems and that the T4 and T3 couldn't be standardised " . They now tell everybody that levothyroxine-ONLY is needed to help all those suffering the symptoms of hypothyroidism. What rubbish, this was all done because the drug companies can't patent 'natural' products so they want them out of the way. These folk are criminals. Now they are doing exactly the same with synthetic vitamin D. This is the " hidden agenda " and it is actually quite terrifying! Guest guest
Sheila surely natural vitamin D comes from the sunshine, but some people like me cannot hack the heat of the sun due to having a fluid problem so tend to keep out of the sun. They cannot patent the sunshine. The vitamin D's that I have tried have apart from one been of vegetarian origin, and usually come from SOYA BEAN OIL, and in America too much consuption of SOYA products are said to be causing thyroid problems. From what I have also found is that animal products can in turn cause fibroid's to grow, so vitamin D of animal origin is out as well. In this light would a synthetic vitamin D suit me better, but of the fillers they also add I do not like to think. I have heard that sunflowers can provide vitamin D, so it maybe worthwhile me trying to locate some vitamin D3 made from sunflower oil, or in the past I have eaten sunflowers, and have just bought some ryvita with oats and sunflowers in, so maybe worthwhile replacing bread with these as bread also contains calcium which is another culprit for me, and bread also contains yeast. To accompany the ryvita perhaps a spread made from sunflowers.
