Melatonin harmful to anyone with Thyroid issues???????

About a year ago I tried Melatonin. It didn't agree with me at all. Wide awake & brain racing. If I managed any sleep, it was poor quality, with vivid dreams & I felt crap in the morning.I recently read an article claiming Melatonin was best used in Small doses, 1 or 2mg. I had used 10mg & 20mg, so I thought maybe that was the problem. I ordered some 1mg sub-lingual. Exactly the same result. This stuff just doesn't agree with me at all. I can't believe how 1mg of this stuff could have such an adverse effect. I've only ever found 2 substances that give me bad reactions (NDT & this stuff).Then I read this on the bottle :

Use only at bedtime. For adult use only. Not for use

by children, teenagers, or women who are pregnant, may become pregnant or

breastfeeding. If you are under medical supervision, or have an autoimmune

disease, diabetes, a depressive disorder, a thyroid condition, epilepsy,

leukemia, or a lymphoproliferative disorder, or are taking MAO inhibitor drugs

or corticosteroids such as hydrocortisone or prednisone, consult your physician

before taking this product.
