Guest guest
Hello all I've been a member for a while and would like some advice from you knowledgeable people. To cut a long story short, I paid for a private thyroid screen and received the results - TSH 3, TMAb 1:102400. My question is, would I suffer symptoms from thyroid antibodies? I've felt hypo for years now but my GP won't even entertain the idea of discussing further as my TSH is 'normal' and apparently I wouldn't suffer any symptoms just from antibodies. (He actually told me my symptoms sounded like the menopause. I'm 40 and currently undergoing fertility treatment). I refuse to take any more anti-depressants and want someone to take me seriously. I really feel as though I'm on a downhill slope. I have made another appointment with the practice head (a different GP), but am worried that I'm going to come up against the same argument and be no better off. Could anyone be so kind as to advise, or offer their thoughts? Many thanks in advance.
