Guest guest
Hi there I joined TPA back in April 2010, two years after being diagnosed hypothyroid, having just read Dr Barry Durrant's book about the thyroid. I have to say that six months on, taking one ThyroComplex vitamin a day, on 150 mcg of Levothyroxine, vaguely following some of the Holford diet (cutting down on bread, sugar, etc), I am feeling better than I did. Not back to how I was before, but then life is different too (before I wasn't a twin mum, the hypothyroidism arrived with the babies, I believe, and being a mum is hard work!), but improved. I don't seem to have those totally defeating daily bouts of exhaustion I had up to six months ago, for which I'm so thankful! Should I be happy with this? Wonder if the improvement was in some ways to do with the warmer lighter months and will it get worse when winter sets in? I hope not!
