Guest guest
If your son is like mine, Ninetindo-Computer time is a necessity. I do agree that we should limit these things but it’s like taking a limb off if you even mention this. Use positive reinforcements in other words-don’t remove the things he fixates on but rather give more time for a reward. Re: Re: At a Loss One of the things I'm getting at Target today is a board to make into our schedule board -- index cards with pictures that can be changed. I really like the schedule idea! (I'm also buying a timer.) He has to know 'the plan' of the day and we have to warn him before any change -- 10 minutes to bath time, 5 minutes to dinner, etc. -- and I know that'll help, and on days where we have more flexibility, he can arrange his play time, too. I'm hoping this system will eliminate some of the Nintendo time. (The nurse yesterday felt that maybe one reason he won't leave the house is due to wanting Nintendo -- but I don't think that's all of it. I just have this feeling they'll see his obsession as the reason for everything, and suggest removal as a cure-all..when I know that won't be the case. He'll just move on to something else. It was Toontown before Nintendo.) , I appreciate your advice, just wanted to say...I have no one offline dealing with this for me to talk to (other than Dh) and Dh knows how important it's been to me to be able to talk with others who can relate, so thank you. Donna Re: Re: At a Loss > > Donna, > >>>Defiance, oh boy...that's a common word in our house anymore. Ds, only >>>barely 4, can be SO defiant. Is this a part of spectrum disorders? He'll >>>lean towards our face (no eye contact though) and yell " Did you hear me? >>>I >>>said no! " then he'll turn away and flippantly say " You just weave me >>>awone. " Boy, can it be surprising! He's just so defiant if ever >>>challenged. << > > I don't think he is being defiant, he's just trying to impose order and > predictability into a world which he finds incredibly confusing and > bewildering. Guest guest
You're above my knowledge, but prayers to you........... At a loss Hi everyone, I am 11 weeks pregnant and have found out that i have a subchorionic hemorrhage. I was not planning on getting rhogam at all, but am seriously concerned (as is my midwife) with this bleeding that is going on and she is really suggesting that i get the shot. Now normally i would not even consider it, but since i do have a SCH i am really concerned about the mixing of our blood. We plan on having more children after this one so i dont want to jeopardize future children. I have heard mentioned (somewhere, the where escapes me at the moment) about a homeopathic rhogam option? Is there one? I am just totally at a loss for what to do. On the one hand i just dont want that shot in my body on the other hand i want more kids and dont want to risk future pregnancies. Any advice, info would be really helpful. I have done extensive research on rhogam as it is but never thought i would be faced with something like this. Thanks for any help in advance i really appreciate it. I don't know anything about a homeopathic option, but having had the shot too many times myself, my thoughts are with you. )0(~~~)0(~~~)0( Mom to Brittany, born 08/31/93, dx'd IDDM 05/28/01; , born 06/28/97; Shayna, born 06/01/00; and Thalea, born 06/24/07. That's now how homeopathy works (although someone may sell something and say it works) There is a mercury-free rhogam - if you decide on it, be sure to get that one. I am not an expert in this - just have info that you can read. Guest guest
>>>Mercury-Free Alternative to Rhogam Rhogam, which is used to suppress RH sensitization in pregnant women, is now available in a mercury-free alternative. Called WinRho SDF, the new product is manufactured by Canjene Corporation of Winnipeg, Canada, and distributed by NABI (1-800-458-4244, option #2). A package insert in PDF format and other product information can be accessed by you and your doctor at the NABI website, I went to your website and re read the rhogam stuff (thank you) The link for the WinRho didn't work for me.
