Hi Nikki - read the information in the attached which Dr Thierry

Hertoghe wrote about the different doses of HC, Prednisolone etc that should be

used for those suffering with cortisone deficiency.

Just done the adrenal questionnaire, scored 192 which came up as severe. Sent

loads of tests off to Genova yesterday so hopefully will have some results to

post soon. Does anyone know if taking 5mg of Prednisolone would work for

adrenal fatigue instead of Hydrocortisone?

Hi Sheila,

Does this document solve my problem of why my immune system is failing, as it

says that cortisol supplementation (nutri adrenal extra?) can affect the immune

system even when it is necessary and at the right dose. My saliva test a year

ago showed that the cortisol was very low, and the DHEA and the progesterone was

none existent. I am now wondering if I supplement the DHEA it could help. Dr P

thought I should not supplement the progesterone as I was suffering from

withdrawal of HRT and was very oestrogen dominant. This is so complicated as

everything interlinks so I am a bit wary of making hasty decisions !!

It could do Janet. My sister has improved dramatically since she

started taking DHEA about 3 months ago. See http://www.womentowomen.com/adrenalfatigue/dhea.aspx

and also http://www.vitaminlady.com/articles/dhea.asp

for a better understanding of the need for DHEA.
