Question for the group about Oprelvekin (Neumega) Growth Factor

I met with my doctor today to discuss my low platelet and neutrophil problem.

Since I have

been off Gleevec for quite some time he wanted to put me on Interferon while I

wait for my

counts to recover. I was kind of leery of this and told him I woud rather try

the growth

factors first.

He gave me a prescription for Neupogen but told me that the growth factor for

boosting

platelets (Oprelvekin) is not availiable in Canada. Does anyone from Canada

know if this is

true? Is there any way I could get it from the states?
