Bumps along the thyroid journey

Hi

A very long time since I have posted about myself as I have been doing

extremely well for the last few months and have found a stable dose of

T3 only that suits me. I added a little adrenal support and now have

no hyper or intolerance symptoms and have finally lost some of the

weight that was bugging me (to be precise 30 pounds since the Armor

reformulation induced peak). The adrenal support got rid of the sugar

cravings that was leaving my hungry a lot of the time (duh,

hindsight), I can now fill the car with fuel without buying 2 bars of

chocolate at the same time and only have 1 sugar in tea instead of 2.

I have energy right into the evening again at last and have got back

to Folk Dancing and have the energy to do it which I haven't for many

years. I am enjoying life and feel good.

From this stable place a strange thing happened 2 weeks ago, I felt a

little hyper one day and very the next. Dropped T3 in half that day

and halved it again the following day. before stopping it completely,

I felt good without any T3 for a couple of days and then slowly

increased over the following week (taking some each time I felt foggy)

until I am back to what was a stable dose for the last 3 months.

Initially I wondered if I had " broken through " another " layer of

resistance " but have concluded that it was my own thyroid deciding to

put out a burst of hormone despite a TSH that must be virtually 0. I

have had this once before 8 years ago when I was on Natural and that's

what I put it down to then.

I'm posting this just as a warning note to say that these things can

happen, if you feel strange check temperature and pulse even if you

have been on a stable dose for months.

Nick
