The T3 will be mostly gone in a week. It will take your system 6 to 8 weeks to restore to it's natural state though as your thyroid T4 levels have to reappear and stabilise After the week you will be in a hypo dip Nick
Guest guest
T3 has a half life in humans of two days, so it leaves your very quickly. You start to lose the effect of this active hormone after 6 to 8 hours and this is why we recommend splitting the dose to take it either twice or three times a day, or even more if you are taking large doses. This is the reason why we recommend stopping T3 medication for at least 24 hours before getting blood drawn for a thyroid function test, otherwise, you get a false reading as T3 peaks in the blood between 2 to 4 hours after taking it.
