Hi Val, This may not agree with you like the Erfa does- I tried Naturethroid, but I may as well have been taking smarties for all the good it did. Hope you fare better with it. May I email you privately on this subject? > thyroid treatment > From: valforster@...> Date: Sun, 7 Nov 2010 13:02:30 +0000> Subject: inhouse> > Just noticed that inhouse now had nature-throid at £17.83 for 1 grain - just under the £18 VAT threshold. This could be good! I have just ordered as erfa does not agree with me (typical when it comes in a 500 bottle) and the new armour leaves me low on energy despite me taking a little more than the old. I hope they keep it at this price.> > http://www.inhousepharmacy.vu/general/westhroid.html> > Val> > > > ------------------------------------> > TPA is not medically qualified. Hi ,

Yes of course, happy to chat privately - note my new email address. Erfa did

not agree with me at all - my arms & legs were so painful & muscles felt stuck

together & I was afraid to move them in case I tore them which I have done

several times in the past. I was really well on a mixture of old armour & T3,

new armour I am less happy with, but still persevering at the moment.

Why not change to the Erfa Thyroid Val, or can you crunch the

new Armour Thyroid up before swallowing it. This helps a lot.

It was erfa which made me feel terrible, with very painful arms & legs. I am

taking new armouyr at the moment but preferred the old.

Hi Val.

I took Erfa for a while but went back to Nature-Throid and have had no problems.

From what I have read it is hypoallergenic - perhaps you are sensitive like me

and react to the fillers in NDT?

Hi ,

That is what I am hoping. I was so well on the old armour.

I remember when I first opened the forum Val and you were taking

just levothyroxine and had many symptoms and you seemed so reluctant to try

some form of T3 - I thought we would never persuade you, and I am so pleased

that it worked. I just hope that now you can find the NDT that will suit you as

well as the original Armour.#

Hi Sheila,

I have never taken just thyroxine – I was put on armour as the thyroid of choice, and then had 25mcg of T4 added after a little while to better balance it. This suited me very well until I lost my husband and the stress stopped me converting the T4 so I had a RT3 problem. I cleared this with just T3 but although I felt ok on just T3 I did not feel that I had the reserves of thyroid for energy at all times & so then went to part old armour & part T3 which was perfect for me (1 grain + 20). Hopefully nature-throid will do the trick as I have to take 1/4 grain extra of new armour (to not feel like death warmed up) which sometimes makes getting to sleep difficult at night. If not the next thing I will try is proportionately more T3 instead of the 1/4 grain, but the NHS T3 is so difficult to cut up – I would probably use 1/4 of a mexican 25mcg pill instead but it seems silly to do this when I can get T3 free on the NHS.
